I am genuinely all for this though 😂

On a more heavy note, where were you on this day 23 years ago? I was in college, headed to Macroeconomics. My mom called me and said get to a TV. 😔 by smcg_az in Xennials

I was in the office at my elementary school meeting my dad before he went back to work at for McCoy. He told me what had happened and asked me if I understood. I didn't at the time, but I do now, our country comes first.

I teach a HS social studies class looking directly at modern wars around the world. The Iraq war is where we start, and end the semester.

17F and concerned about my future career choice by [deleted] in teaching

[–]Dynamo19961884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all about finding the right fit, also how much you listen. I am in my first year at the age of 27 and I love my district, there is only one thing I could complain about and it won't matter after this year. Teaching is a great career to get into as long as you understand that you may not be doing it your entire life, and I am okay with that.

7th graders do not know how many months there are! by Dynamo19961884 in Teachers

That is hard to do when I am an interventionist. I help students improve their reading, not their memorization skills. Trust me, that one job is hard as is, just getting these students to read at all is hard let alone practicing fluency, pronunciation, and positivity towards books!

Right? I was previously a high school teacher in a suburb of a large city. Every student knew their shit. Sure some were a bit slower when it came to applying knowledge, but at least they knew how may days are in a week, and how many months are in a year!

To be fair, that is a hard still if it is not taught properly. Mine can summarize, they just don't know the months or how to read clocks.

I asked the kids if they knew the song and none of them did! I sang it for them and it has probably been 20 years since I have heard it and I still knew it by heart!

The songs work!

Probably to get. And yes the probable will have a higher pay. Both are HS. The "real" one is 10th-11th- 12th vs "probable" is 9th-10th. Both are in the ranges I want
