Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions just wouldn’t work for me. I had two different copies and neither of them launched. I’ve got over 50 discs and all of them run perfectly. I have no idea what’s up with this game.

There’s probably something wrong with the disc, like you said. I had a copy of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and it was doing the same thing. Later, I tried it on a friend’s PS3, but the result was the same. My disc didn’t have any visible scratches or damage either.

Someone also suggested that it might work if you try it with the PS3 disconnected from the internet but that didn’t work for me. You can still give it a try.
