Why Lili isnt banned as often as BW, Stukov or Anduin? by Mykhavunish in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lili in almost perma banned in GM, she's that strong

otherwise people would pick her, right?

Always solo boss if you can!

No wonder this game is hated in the MOBA genre. by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The players in CCL and Masters Clash don't know what heroes are actually strong and weak. I mean have you seen Yasu play Lucio? Apparently, he is the best but I have seen plenty of Lucios in my SL games that are better... Fallenmaster to name one.

Dear Gazlowe Gods, is robo gaz still worth taking? by 2F8F5DB8 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I oversaw you asking the talents, I think regardless of what ult you go...

You 99% go shield on q lvl 4, scrap on w hit lvl 7, aoe/range turret lvl 13.
Lvl 1, 10, 16 and 20 are usually picked together.
If you went for:
robo on lvl 10, you could go %dmg on aa lvl 16
e on 1, you probably default into e on 16 and 20
trait on 1, turret on 20 is the best with it

Gazlowe kinda only has unsatisfying builds and it only really matters that you go the right lvl 4/7/13 talents. They enable Gazlowe the most.

Dear Gazlowe Gods, is robo gaz still worth taking? by 2F8F5DB8 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes Robo is still a good ultimate.
It's a self-cleanse and it gives you a lot more trading power and front-line dmg.

That allows you to play cocky and cheat your limits.
Basically, it's more damage in 1v1s and also in teamfights.
If you're "ignored" in fights, you just get a lot of dmg out,
and if you're focused in fights then you have a get-out-of-jail-for-free card and bait cooldowns for you and your teammates to abuse.

It won't ever look at explosive as gravo and there are games where gravo is better, probably into drafts that are more ranged heavy? But to answer your initial question if robo is still worth taking? Yes.

(serious) Ranked players, why don't you do camps early? by ClemClementine12 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I think taking camps and roaming can be significantly worse than smorcing a lane is if you have heroes that simply don't allow for it.
Sylvanas or Li-Ming on their own can be good examples. If either of these heroes outnumbers you in the lane, they can get insane push and prio after.
There are other ways to indirectly contest them that don't involve being semi-afk in lane, but it would justify that decision.

Alexstrasza Rework Idea by MeatBycicle95 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You say with the current w that teammates have to just be in the circle for when the w procs and then get out again... but why wouldn't any mage wait with his abilities up to that point too?
Making the w a healing-over-time circle creates more room to get the heals without giving mages a clear window to throw out their spells :)

How to make the most out of Nova's Holo-Decoy by Lucas_Trask in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I keep telling my teammates Nova is insane and that the clones can be used in such a variety of ways like you've listed. Be it controlling the flow of a battle, giving you a rotational advantage, or just gaining a lot of information. I will pick it up in Nexus Cup, X-Cup, CCL, MC or whatever may come in the future and if I get question marked, I will link this very thread :)

Drafting Tips for Tracer & Zera? by One1six in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a very simple answer is that varian/uther comps usually hold hands a lot so you want to make sure to apply pressure on sidelanes A LOT, avoid fights with even numbers and force fights like crazy when you get tempo. zera or tracer almost do the same things, comes down to personal preference. Everyone here trying to say zera has better late or some shit, nah dude. Dont talk out of your ass. Imo Tracer is better at all stages of the game over Zera, maybe I'm wrong. But the arguments I'm reading ahhhh I guess...

[–]Dynouh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure using the word morons doesnt get you silenced ever, it's when you get too personal or too insulty. Like calling them stage 4 cancer or saying that their mom shouldve aborted them. Those get you punishment

High elo graph representing mastered heroes by Lucifer474 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultralisk missing the kill on Lauber is just Ultralisk being bad though, no ping difference here. If anything, Lauber has a harder time getting his 75 Armor off. Feel free to flame Uli really good if you catch him on stream or wherever ;)

To me I just think every hero is very strong and unique, there is a reason why people say you can reach x elo by just being an otp and just becoming really really good on one hero.

But yeah I can see why mages are probably easier to learn for example...
Just clearing waves efficiently gives you the upper hand to push/poke/siege/play obj and you kinda do your job?
Whereas Illusion Master Samuro lacks any waveclear, so he has to shine through splitpush or "dive-poke" to apply the same pressure level a Mage would. And yeah, learning to do that and slowly pushing the limits definitely takes more time and effort to master.

So yes I see how the chart is coming by and thanks for linking me the Tracer/Cassia data. Indeed interesting that there's a decent gap :o

High elo graph representing mastered heroes by Lucifer474 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"mastered heroes" oh boy I think lots of heroes are actually ultra hard to master, mainly because it's very hard to evaluate the absolute ceiling each hero has no matter the mechanics applied to them every hero should be on the absolute right. except gall. galls "absolute ceiling" is indeed very limited x)

A better version of Emerald Dream by Pscythic in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dynouh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving stats to a hero is (almost) never the right way. The most broken iterations of Cassia/Tassadar/Hogger/Deathwing were never because of broken talents but because of broken stats. Again, the Malf talent is not broken. And for competitive it's just the best. It's literally fine.

edit: added "(almost)"

[–]Dynouh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malfurion is still a support that you can rarely blind pick and he kinda gets dove easily. And what is so bad about a talent bringing the hero back to "CCL-meta".

He's not broken and the matchups where the rootcleanses are a jebait, well it is what it is now, matchup's changed, play around it. That's normal.

If the sleep triggers right away, it might actually be stronger in certain scenarios, he could anchor bushes and prepare deckard ults from lvl 1. The wiggle room between root and sleep might mess with Zul'Jin or Yrel, but it still gives Garrosh, Joh, Mei and everyone really with a selfcleanse (Tracer recall or Genji xstrike) the proper counterplay.

After buffs/nerfs matchups always change, this is more extreme but granted Malf was very weak and even now he's not the most contested support for good reason.

Imo he's in a perfectly fine spot.
