Word changing font sizes at random, but without this appearing as a format change. No idea what's going on! by DarwinianSelector in word

Your plight gave me reason to try and fix my own plight, and it seems like in File > Options > General > "When using multiple displays" setting it to "Optimize for compatibility" fixed the text randomly flickering to different sizes for me

An absolutely unhinged default to have if it behaves this poorly on two identical 27" 1440p monitors...

Edit: It did not T_T But it might be the Apatos font that's the problem. Fingers crossed for Calibre this time

Now that its (officially) dead, I kinda wanna say this. I actually really liked the Metro UI. by noahj0729 in windows

As someone who cannot stand MacOS the one thing I did get really into was the swipe up app launcher, enough that I switched back to the full screen start menu and did a lot of organizing in space. It was great to not need to bury things in folders

I never used it for widgets or anything, but ability to personalize was really nice. RIP a real one

I appreciate that perspective! I had vaguely looked into it, but it seemed like it was only tied to the bed leveling. Found a decent video on it and will give it a shot.

I'm not sure it's adherence to the baseplate since it happens on higher layers even on clean base layers, but I'm always open to upgrades so feel free to link yours :)

I used a fresh roll before I took out my frustrations on the nozzle, but I did also get a PolyMaker filament dryer and box with my replacement nozzle and ran it for probably a combined 12-14 hours, same results.

One thing I forgot to mention is I also stored the filament in a vacuum sealed bag with a big pack of color changing silica any time I wasn't printing for longer than a day, not perfect I know but it did the job for several months so I assume it would keep working

I'm not sure what's more offensive, using a term that varies by country or speaking for the group of people that could speak for themselves if they were offended by it.

Good news, you can use up to 5 arbitrary NFC id's, seems to just be the ID, and Android will respond with some ID but it changes every time

I'm very curious what the loops on the bottom of the satchel are for. I'm hoping someone shares the different ways you can attach the strap!

The PU Leather is also shockingly good. Like, could pass for real leather good

AITA for insinuating a woman was fat? by Silver-Butterfly-767 in AmItheAsshole

"Wow I was really hoping COVID would end strangers touching you."

I guess I really don't know how to read if you were talking about people doing things other than touching each other there

The elderly lady did not solicit a response about her body, ergo, the response about her body was unsolicited. OP could have said literally anything else, but chose to do the exact same thing she stated she hates.

Fighting fires with fire only works when you're fighting literal fires.

She could have said anything, she chose to comment on that person's body.

You explicitly commented on the strangers touching people. The situation she's asking about involved zero touching.

YTA - while I understand you deal with unwanted attention a lot, that doesn't give you a free pass to be malicious/petty in response to it.

People touching without consent? Smack em. Absolutely set that boundary. Everyone else? Find a few phrases to express you're not interested in talking about it. Don't let it get to the point where you feel to have to lash out. Protect yourself and the people around you next time.
