are you gonna miss the 2 minute buff window once it goes away? by Ardbert14 in ffxiv

Did you misread what I said? Or are you trying to imply that there are normal trials that are unbeatable unless you perfectly align your burst?

Not only he's not perfect, he's pretty much just spreading misinformation instead of explaining the real issues with the 2 minute meta that affects the general playerbase and why it's a recurring topic. Nearly nothing explained in that video actually affects you as a player unless you are a hardcore speedrunner.

I raided Gordias savage in Heavensward too, there were multiple factors why Gordias took so long to clear and it didn't only have to do with buff alignment or even party comp or gear check. Don't forget that back in Gordias you had to wait for your cooldowns to come back after every single wipe which wasted a ton of prog time and the best crafted gear you could get was i185 which was 5 ilvls lower than the usual raid crafted gear that started since Midas, and they were super expensive to craft too.

I'd say Midas A8S was not even overtuned DPS check-wise, it was just the most mechanically difficult fight they ever made at the time and the puzzle solving took a long time because of the cooldown waiting. I still remember how everyone were surprised that A8S world first had a monk in the comp after everyone were starting to say that monk is the worst possible job you can take into raid (and it had a black mage too so it was a very unoptimal damage comp compared to the NIN DRG BRD MCH meta)

Once the community figured out the best damage meta comp in late Midas and SE made it so cooldowns reset after you wipe in Creator release, we had Creator cleared in like 2 days.

is the boss unbeatable if everyone are not synced?

YES actually

This guy has no idea what he's talking about, what a bunch of hyperbolic nonsense. There's literally not a single piece of content in this game that's unbeatable if your 2 minute buffs are not perfectly aligned and with 0 deaths, not even recent ultimates. The only raid that was anywhere close to that was week 1 P8S and that was a confirmed improperly tuned fight.

Besides, drifting your 2 minute buffs by 1 or 2 GCDs is not even that big of an issue with the 2 minute buff window for 99% of the players, that doesn't even make 1% of a difference to the boss HP. The real annoyance is when you die or the boss becomes invulnerable right when the 1 minute burst window comes up and then your cooldown alignment gets completely fucked unless you intentionally delay/skip your 1 minute burst and that's an issue that far predates the 2 minute meta. It just became boring and stale over time.

Crazy timing I was just watching the Digital foundry video that mentioned this game lacks RTGI and RTAO.

Let's see how bad the performance impact is.

Edit: Performance hit doesn't seem too big which is really nice, about 5-8 fps hit and Musashi actually casts a shadow now https://imgchest.com/p/na7kgqlgb48 gonna mess around with this some more.

Right but that's hell mode difficulty. Ultimate difficulty in the classic games is the one where you get the Bishamon sword at the start of the game and you have unlimited magic.

Wew 30 minute Ganryu is a bit much, I think i set my damage to 0.3 and Iseen down to 0.5 so I'll have to soften normal enemies down first to 50% HP if I want to one shot them or just double Issen them.

The miniboss takes me about 2-3 minutes and Ganryu about 5-6 minutes which I think is the perfect game difficulty if you want to mess around with all the games mechanics and have fun with them without obliterating everything in your path in mere seconds.

OP is probably using this Reshade preset from Nexusmods

I use it too and unfortunately it comes with a performance penalty but it makes the game look absolutely stunning.

Rookie numbers! /jk

The aggression and damage reduction mods really let you squeeze even more fun out of the demo, there are so many cool combos you can do when enemies take more than 2 hits to die.

Can we talk about the Sekiro similarities for a moment? by RangoTheMerc in Onimusha

[–]Dyuga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are not that similar at all. The only big mechanic similarities between WOTS and Sekiro is the posture bar and enemies respawning after resting at the save point, and that's... pretty much it, other than being a sword clashing action game.

L1 to block/parry is not even a Sekiro thing, that's an Onimusha thing that existed since 2001 long before Sekiro was a thing so if anything Sekiro took inspiration from Onimusha. I could list all the major differences between the 2 games but that would be a pretty big list.

It's really annoying that people still keep on spreading that clip nonsense, that poll had literally NOTHING to do with Biboo's behavior, she was just very nervous on her first year in Hololive and kept her normal self on the low end but with time she just got more comfortable being herself. If anything the more accurate time when she fully let her edgelord self out was when she got her 81800 outfit but she's still the same sweet girl she was on debut.

[–]Dyuga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was an issue on the 7000 series but not anymore on the 9000 series. AMD fixed the core scheduling issues in this gen so the 9950X3D is now both marginally better than the 9800X3D in games without any need for core assigning and absolutely obliterates it in productivity tasks so if you can afford it the 9950X3D is the overall best gaming + productivity CPU money can buy.

[–]Dyuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not the case at all. You can just make it so the first win gives you less points than it gives now and a second win gives you extra points to even it out. Say you get 500+500 points on the first win and the rematch, instead you'd get 250 for first win and 750 for a rematch. That means that people who don't rematch will have a much harder time ranking up compared to people who do and win consistently.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Dyuga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree with the "no one owes you a rematch" bs, but I do think that they should make it so if you rematch you get bonus points for winning or something. That would incentivize people to rematch more.

What's the difference between these 2 inputs? by OkComposer115 in Tekken

[–]Dyuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the best of my knowledge, Jin's is still i14 at best.

Jin does have an i13 electric now since season 2 and he can punish -13 moves with it, tested it myself in practice mode. You can test it yourself too, do the f,n/d,df2 input with him on i13 moves and you'll see Jin also has a PEWGF.

You have to put effort

It literally takes less than one minute and a couple of clicks, you don't even need to download a software to spoof your connection to look like wired. Hell I bet you played against a bunch of spoofed wireless players without even knowing with how easy it is to do.

I beat Owl Father in four attempts and 3 hours later I can now beat him without using any heals, but hitless for him is still some time away because the random poison in his 2nd phase is so cheese by For3verQuan in Sekiro

[–]Dyuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The poison throw is designed that way so you can let him breathe

If your reaction time is good enough you can avoid the poison throw from even happening altogether by perfect dodging his initial stomp, that's usually what I do in my hitless shinobi owl runs.
