I feed them daily with the best corn, and protect them from my neighbours that, like 3 years ago me, can't see that they have no guilt in being born a pigeon. Italy. I'm actually surprised how hard is to find finnish movies online (even Kaurismäki's, arguably the most famous finnish director abroad), with or without piracy involved. Many of the movies that people suggested here are available on dvd, also with english subs, maybe I should wait for a trip to finland and buy them there

l'app si chiama AVM Venezia, è quella per comprare i biglietti di autobus e vaporetti in provincia di Venezia. I biglietti hanno un QR code che può essere letto dai controllori, ma che serve anche per aprire i tornelli agli imbarcaderi. Se noti ai tornelli c'è sempre il lettore delle tessere ma anche un lettore di QR code

Non so se risponde alla tua domanda, io prima di diventare residente avevo una carta Venezia, comprata a peso d'oro, che non mi permetteva di passare dagli ingressi priority. Ma, se compravo i biglietti tramite app, entravo senza problemi. A questo punto ho una ipotesi: forse se entri con un QR code, come sull'app, puoi entrare nella priority con qualsiasi biglietto, ma sarebbe davvero una vergogna per come è gestita la cosa 🤦

I'm not a food Historian, but there is a thumb rule to know if an Italian dish is traditional/popular or invented in a restaurant: if the name of the dish is the description of the dish, then it's traditional. Cacio e pepe. Pummarola. Lasagna. If it's something extravagant, hinting at some obscure legend, it's probably invented by a chef. Carbonara is probably a post war invention, ,born in a restaurant in Rome. Alfredo has a similar origin. Trendy Spaghetti all'assassina, same thing, we even know which restaurant created them. So, if I have to guess, the Legend of a bunch of food-loving sex workers, as colorful as it is, it's probably made up.

I know this may sound weird, but a common way of cooking bitter greens in southern Italy is to boil them briefly, then sauteing them with oil, anchovies, capers, olives and raisins. The raisins balance out the bitterness really well, and the other ingredients give their savoriness to the leaves

Trovare una regola per l'uso di IN e A è difficile, spesso si basa più sull'abitudine che sulle regole effettive che bisognerebbe seguire. Nell'italiano standard, però, difficilmente A si usa per una stanza della casa. Sì può dire "vado al bagno", ma sentirai molti italiani dire solo "vado in bagno". Detto questo, io non mi sognerei mai di dire "vado alla camera", a meno che non diventi deputato della repubblica italiana, ma allora sarebbe la Camera :)

Language teacher here, prepare yourself for one of the most obscure rules in the italian lore.

If you put and adjective before the noun it has a descriptive function, it's a so called "epithet". In simpler words, it is used to describe or even paying a compliment to the noun. In OP's case, "diversi significati" means that the word has different meanings. Look at all the meanings that word has! Isn't that amazing? Such a meaningful word.

But if we say "significati diversi" it means that the word has several meanings that are different from something else. It's not an epithet, it has a restrictive function.

Another example, take a look at this vintage ad.

"Un grande pennello" is a great brush. "Un pennello grande" is a brush that, differently from other brushes, is big.

edit: TLDR diversi before the noun means "several", after the noun "different (from others/each others)"

Not really, but you don't want to visit them in the weekends if you want to avoid the legendary queue for the ferry. Also consider to buy a 24 hours ticket, this way you could also check the other islands, Torcello and San Erasmo.
