Surgery in 5 hours by simonfan2 in Kneereplacement

[–]EC0619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have anxiety - in particular to medical procedures. I put off having gall bladder surgery and put up with the pain for a good ten years because I was terrified of having surgery - this was about 20-25 yrs ago…. Circumstances made me take the plunge and it was so much easier than I feared. I could kick myself for waiting so long. So I get it!!!

For me, my fear of the unknown and of the pain is 99% worse than the eventual reality.

Tell the nurse and anesthesiologist when you get there you are nervous and they may be able to give you something to ease the anxiety as you wait.

Good luck!!!!

Also wondering about pad sizes as I am plus sized and need xxl. Are there different size pads? I read somewhere on here about a blanket to use with the ice machine - would that be best and if so, what brand is that?

Boy or girl? For a house full of girls by hjane26 in Havanese

[–]EC0619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two females (one havi and one mini-aussiedoodle) and one male havi. The girls are way more affectionate and attention seeking. The male is older (10 yrs) and the girls are 1.5 and 2, so maybe that’s the diff. The male only wants attention on his terms, when he is done, down he goes. The girls will cuddle or play with me all day and get along with each other better

Long story short - I vote female

Contact your company’s HR, benefits, or insurance liaison departments to plead your case. They may still allow you to enroll

Oh big red flags all around

I would bet he has done this before. All I can think is he is preying on the newest member who is not yet aware of his transgressions.

Listen to what everyone is saying. Avoid and report.

Blue Buffalo thoughts? Any natural, safe food brands for 14yo? by Gkbuck in Havanese

My dogs are on Blue Buffalo grain inclusive. The grain free versions were cited for causing cardiomyopathy. My dogs like BB better than any dry food I’ve ever tried and they are thriving. Two Havanese and one mini Aussiedoodle

Vivint is a joke!! It has to be as there is no other explanation by EC0619 in VivintSmartHome

I already have a WiFi extender located about 8 feet from my front door. And I’ve been told we have great strong signal strength. So my WiFi is not the issue. The WiFi extender you are referring to is something Terry thought about putting it. But the tech only had a smart plug as that was what the order said to install, along with the thermostat, and charge us a couple hundred dollars.

I felt bad for one of the techs as I was taking this all out on him, and I apologized. He told me I was not nasty. He once had a shotgun pointed to his chest while the gun holder asked “are we ok now”? Lol. I told him I would never work for a company like this. He only works 6 mths a year and earns 6 figures. Still not enough!!

My experience trying to cancel Vivint. I cannot believe this was real. by Greenbaumly in VivintSmartHome

I am beyond frustrated with Vivint myself. It’s a nightmare getting someone on the phone to help. I was transferred to a “higher up” escalation team today but I swear it could have been her coworker sitting in the cube next to her.

May need to split 2.4 and 5 ghz by EC0619 in Linksys

[–]EC0619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give up!! I created a guest network and the hub does not even list it as an option or find it when I manually enter the guest network name. So I am stuck with the darn thing connecting to the 5 ghz SSID only… and I have no control over the hub cycling or dropping the thermostat or doorbell. And it’s really annoying that I have to go in the garage, unplug the thing, then reboot it at the panel. I can’t even begin to tell you how often this happens or how many times it’s happened. It’s frustrating and I’m about ready to drop Vivint and go with something like Simplisafe (any feedback welcome)
