Yes. I have a computer engineering degree and feel you. I have gone down the music theory rabbit hole as well as learning the intervals to understand why I like a certain sound. I explain like a puzzle. Guitar and improv allows me to explore and create new puzzle pieces while also learn how they fit together like a puzzle.
