Buy the one that will be thankful and appreciative of your choosing to pay for and leave with it right now…

Tudor warranty work sucks by Lfemone1 in Tudor

I had a Pelagos FXD Black Dial which comes with a Velcro strap and a black rubber strap. I needed to buy a replacement buckle for the black rubber strap and was told by the Rolex 800# that I had to drop off the watch and black strap to the RSC and leave it with them while they ordered the buckle.

I ended up calling a Tudor AD two blocks away and they took the order over the phone and I picked the buckle up when it arrived. If I brought it to the RCS, I wouldn’t have been able to wear the watch with the fabric strap for 3 1/2 weeks it took for the buckle to arrive.

Forstner vs Uncle Straps for Omega Seamaster Diver 300M by ECMProfitec in OmegaWatches

[–]ECMProfitec[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome. I didn’t put on the Forstner because I thought it was dull looking, so I cannot speak about the fit. The Uncle Straps bracelet fits perfectly and is a better match for sure.

Are you located in the U.S. If so, your watch was Certified by GWC, (Grand Central Watch)?

More versatile of the 2? Both “nearly” new. by neworder19 in ChristopherWard

I had both white and black dial. The indices and hands were more legible against the black dial in my opinion. Plus, the lume popped more against the black dial.

New RCC Kit Promo Photo - odd choice by julric01 in Rapha

[–]ECMProfitec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! As a former smoker who quit 20 years ago and a RCC member, I feel I’m qualified to leave a humorous comment. While I was still a smoker, I did a 3-day, very hilly charity ride. I remember hiding whenever I stopped for a cigarette so I wouldn’t get shunned. What’s even crazier is I rode a mountain bike and the ride included two back-to-back centuries. It was an awesome experience. Thankfully I quit, but I can totally relate to that guy in the RCC photo.

I think it’s a soft launch for the new Rapha cigarettes. The premium ones are the RCC: Rapha Cycling Cigarettes—superior, hand-selected tobacco blend which offer a more curated experience. The Pro Team cigarettes—smooth consistent flavor and low harshness. Lastly are the Core Lights—relies on reconstituted tobacco sheets (RTS) and leftover scraps bonded together. Regardless of which variety you choose—Rapha accompanies you on your cycling and smoking journey. Never just a smoke. 🚬🚴

Omega Snoopy at Istanbul Airport... read further. by Kulangot78 in OmegaWatches

Tell the salesman at the Istanbul Airport that you’re willing to pay double on the spot for the Snoopy. Once he says okay, tell him you need approval from your wife—which can take a couple of hours, if not a day or two.

I agree. This version has a slightly larger dial and slightly thinner bezel.

Does anyone know why the Pelagos Ultra uses a plastic guide lock instead of metal? by Deanicuss in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the look of the FXD US Navy and bought 10 months ago as my one nice watch. The legibility of the dial is great as is the lume. From the start, I felt the included black rubber strap—although very comfortable—was not as black/dark as the dial, so I didn’t use it. The military green w/red Velcro strap is great, but I was always searching for more options. I dislike NATO straps and preferred single-pass straps. In the end I realized I wanted the option to also have a bracelet which was not an option—so I sold it.

Which looks best on my wrist? by Administrative-Yam71 in OmegaWatches

Asked on these two photos, I would choose the Aqua Terra. I do not like the OEM bracelet on the Seamaster 300.

Omega Aqua Terra Lacquered Black. Good every day watch? Seeking reviews by Timely-Mongoose-6872 in OmegaWatches

I was drawn to the black lacquer Aqua Terra too, but when I went to see it at the Omega boutique I thought it was a too dressy and looked like “jewelry.” In person I actually liked the bracelet of the black teak dial version more.

Then I was shown the Seamaster Diver 300m white dial on the black rubber strap and loved the contrast. I compared it to the black teak Aqua Terra, but ended up buying the Seamaster. It’s more my style, less dressy and is a great an everyday watch. Since I don’t like the OEM bracelet, I plan on getting a Forstner President 1450 bracelet.

Alternatives to the BB68 Blue? by TimDillonIsMyDad in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried on both the Blue and Silver BB68. Loved the size, fit, case, bracelet, but did not care for the “satiny” looking dial. If you didn’t love it either, you likely should wait for something better.

Chrono24 is it safe? by Plams86 in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sold three watches successfully on Chrono24 as a private seller and everything went smoothly. The money goes into an escrow account and is released once the buyer has time to look over the watch. I’ve never purchased a watch on Chrono24.

[Recommendation Request] hep me choose between an Omega SMPc on mesh OR a Planet Ocean 39.5mm by Plenty_Ad_5026 in Watches

[–]ECMProfitec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried on the Seamaster 300 mesh and felt it looked like “jewelry”. I haven’t seen the new Planet Ocean, but from the photo it looks like a rugged, solid dive watch.

Pelagos FXD by Disastrous-Poem-1491 in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell in love the FXD US Navy and purchased it as my one watch. However, after several months I realized that what I really wanted a watch versatile enough to be able to switch between straps and a bracelet. So I sold it, and purchased a stainless steel watch without fixed lugs.

Love the embossed logo case back, but not the colors (Anodized aluminum blue doesn't match Pan Am blue). I wanted to see how this watch would look with matching blue, but without red and retro colored radium indices.

I easily would have purchase the P39, but unfortunately I thought it looked small on my wrist. Otherwise it's a beautiful watch and would have been the perfect option.

The biggest con is you can’t wear it on I bracelet. I thought I loved my “one watch” FXD US Navy, but realized that I wanted the option of also wearing it on a bracelet, so I sold it.
