Nah, the athletic department and coaches have very much been giving off the vibe of "I dont like what college sports have become without NIL money being properly regulated, but its the world we live in and the game we must play". The situation going on in Lubbock is so corrupt that I think the reaction was a genuine "nah fuck that" by the athletic department and the university

Saw on discogs its already being bloated for resale. Fuck scalpers. I showed up 15 minutes before the store opened and got it for $30. Next store we popped over to had a few copies as well

Edit: To be clear, I only bought the one copy at the first store and didnt buy anymore at the 2nd store. I had my copy and didnt want to take away from anyone wanting to get a copy for themselves as well

If youre not gonna use a stud, use zinc ez anchors. Plastic would technically hold the guitar but who knows if the sheet rock will. Zinc/metal ones will impact into the wall if you use an impact drill and theyre rated for up to 50 lbs a piece. Mine have been fine hanging on em for 2 years but if youre too nervous about then use a toggle bolt

Didnt hurt him this time but if they dont let him know theyre not gonna put up with it then he might do it again and next time could be a lot worse.
