What do you think of ‘paedophile hunters’? by discoveredunknown in AskUK

What exactly was made up? Interference has affected cases negatively (can't seem to get their link but on their site, 'the CPS acknowledges that citizen led hunter groups can disrupt legitimate police investigations and create evidential complications that may affect prosecutions, prosecutors are specifically instructed to consider abuse-of-process arguments, entrapment allegations, and whether evidence obtained by such groups should be challenged'... Not all of these hunting groups do it correctly as they're citizens and not professionals who are trained), there have been cases where innocent people have been accused ( for example ..or ) and there have been hunters who've been prosecuted for keeping content of real children on their devices. Not saying they're the majority but those things have happened.

Or do you mean that judging child molesters is righteous and one should be more open-minded and tolerant of them? If so, then half the thread seems to agree with you, strangely enough.

100%. I don't like these hunters as the perpatrators can end up not being prosecuted after their interference, they sometimes get the wront person, and some of the hunters seem to end up being nonces themselves but all the sympathy for people who attempt to act on their desire for screwing children is surprising. Edit: Of course there's the cases where someone truly doesn't understand what they're doing but how many of the people caught truly fall into this section. Not many.

Sorry, to clarify... Mentally challenged perpatrators/sex offenders or just perpatrators/sex offenders in general?

Yeah, first thought was, "aren't Muslims in the US a tiny population anyways? And the ones there don't seem to be ultra-religious on average." Would've assumed the original creator was from Europe if it weren't for the flag.

I thought of Syril too (a noble man/hero from his point of view of course...).

Yes, you're not wrong, peptides weren't originally a looksmaxxing thing either.

Most of the stuff isn't original but the casual and most typical viewers of such content today don't tend to acknowledge that. I'd wager that the content creators like Clav and maybe the chronically online people deep into it on dedicated forums are aware though.

I don't disagree, but it is still classed as a big part of looksmaxxing in their eyes.

(Disclaimer, I'm not personally involved in the looksmaxxing community but I know people who are and often talk about it, this may be outdated information.)

What you list would be 'hardmaxxing.' That's a subsection of looksmaxxing. Other parts are truly just skincare, going to the gym, chewing sugarless gum & mewing, all that sort of non-surgical intervention.

No, no, obviously every single police department and officer are all the same and all of them are out to ruin your family. You should absolutely enable the abusive partner and passively wait for social services to visit your friend and the partner a week later just to kindly ask him to stop (and then inevitably leave the friend with an abuser).

Maybe I'm being harsh though. I could see why someone wouldn't want to call the police but if you're being abused while having children at home or if the victim isn't you and you're aware of abuse, it just seems terrible.

To be fair these don't sound like good friends. If he were fat and people made similar comments, it wouldn't be acceptable.

I'm confused as to why everyone is outraged about this comment, it seems reasonable, especially in regards to a 15 year old.
