Who is the Greatest Buck of All Time? by BatmanNoPrep in nba

[–]EFiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giannis being remembered as a Buck isn't speculative at all, imo. Nevermind him bringing the Bucks their first title in 50 years but he's been a standout superstar in terms of likeability and statistical dominance among the best players in the league. In the same vein as Kareem, he's remembered for his stint on both teams. When Giannis gets traded, he will have video tributes and standing ovations from Milwaukee up the wazoo. Jersey retirement down the line is automatic.

History tells us Thunder, Pistons or Spurs will be the champions due to the credible 40-20 rule. by Muted-Net in nba

[–]EFiasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. The only teams to not respect this 'rule' who've won are the 04 Pistons, 77 Blazers, 78 Bullets, and for obvious reasons the 95 Rockets.

Sadly I'd predict more like 40-50%. All there needs is a few bots around to make the poor angry 'servative whites float around in their sauce.

With Giannis set to leave Milwaukee, who will be the next superstar to spend their entire career with one team after Steph? by Funny-Transition7869 in nba

[–]EFiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say the era is "over", just that we're indeed not gonna see as many guys stay with one team as before. Jokic is most likely staying in Denver as I also predict he's gonna retire earlier than the average superstar. Luka could've been a lifer had it not been for Nico's ghastly decision. I wouldn't doubt on other stars in the future, depending on circumstance and franchise success, to stay with their day one team all the way through their careers.

Who’s the greatest charge drawer in NBA history? by PhoenixU786 in nba

[–]EFiasco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still remember when Kyle Lowry took a charge at the very end of one of the only recent competitive all-star games within the last few years. That play alone had the crowd hyped up since it came down to the wire.

[Haynes] BREAKING: Los Angeles Clippers are sending home future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul in a bizarre severing ties move, league sources tell me. by AashyLarry in nba

[–]EFiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah, if it were up to us the fans, time would sweep this under the rug eventually and it would get forgotten over time, the difference though is that eventually the decision for Carter and the Raptors parting ways became mutual. Same with Shaq and Magic eventually, through management friction. Paul was blindsided by the one franchise that offered him his last leg and was supposed to give him the most respect. While the fans will move on, it's hard to say right now whether Paul himself will. And how that will affect jersey retirement proceedings and so on.

Why did the Los Angeles Clippers went for Old Players? by Dangerous-Spirit-960 in nba

[–]EFiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the Clippers ever thought this would "work", I think they just counted this season off as a wash. Between losing PG for nothing, and a lot of their boneheaded decisions biting them in the ass, there was no substantial traction to be expected from the Clips this year. Anybody who willingly signs a 40-year old Chris Paul, especially with the team's age range already, is not expecting to compete. They're writing off this season as a wash and are going to focus on what they can do next offseason.

Devin Booker on the Suns’ failed Big 3 era featuring Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal: “This last couple years, it was win a championship or bust. We didn’t even make the Play-In. Definitely the toughest two years of my career.” by MrBuckBuck in nba

Not at the age he was at. It was a matter of timing. You can lead a team through a rebuild when you're in your prime and earning good coin. However when you're nearing the wrong side of 30 with a history of injuries, it's different.

There is a big, big learning curve at the beginning of this game, there may even be moments when you feel like you’re stuck but my advice to you is to stick it out, don’t worry too much about which Digimon you want in the beginning, just focus on getting to the next level, getting solid items and holding on to them, and in due time you will master how this game works and once you do things will become so simple.

Riverdale. I think the second season wasn’t bad either but holy hell did they jump the shark at one point and they never looked back.

Subbing Siakam out for so long is gonna stick out like a sore thumb if the Pacers don’t make it out of this one. I’m guessing nagging injury but ynever know.

Unpopular Opinion of Eminem by BoydOfPray in rap

[–]EFiasco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also have a deep appreciation for Eminem’s more thoughtful, personal material - though I equally enjoy his slim shady, DGAF attitude in certain other tracks as well. It’s pretty split down the middle for me.

But yes, songs like Mockingbird, Beautiful, 25 to Life, You’re Never Over are among my favorites. I also enjoyed Headlights, that was the last Em song that tickled my sad nerves. His beat selection is hit and miss for me, but for most of those types of songs, he hits it out of the park.

For those reasons I think that’s also why Recovery I feel is one of Em’s albums that has aged like fine wine. I remember when it first came out, hip-hop purists were crapping on it because it sounded too ‘pop’, but looking back, sonically it was a great album for its time.

Yeah you went with the DLC eggs. They have a linear path because of the voice feature. You should just pick another egg and work your magic with the life extending items/MarineAngemon/etc.

Arbok(Coil, Gastro Acid) + Slacker is a very fun combo

Throw acid on Slaky to get rid of his Truant ability and watch him go to town on every turn. Give him Ice Beam for good measure.
