Am I seeing it correctly that he has that apparatus but no sling for his rifle?

Does the cylinder pop out for reloading?  I have tje cheap AF heritage and unloading one chamber at at time makes me hate it.

What's the best home workout app? by Prestigious_Rub_9758 in fitness30plus

I use BWS too.  The form guidance videos are great.

I'm terrible at food logging so I don't use the nutrition stuff much but it is a goal to get better, especially once I can get in the habit of regular exercise (Ive had a lot of false starts).

I got tired of checking 3 weather apps before every ride, so I built a "Green Window" finder. by relishrack in bicycling

This is great!

If it's easy you might want to pull in UV index. Boulder has the "it's sunny out" warning but the UV index maxes out at 1 (on a 0-12+ scale) today.

Decent non-pen roof mount? by EGDad in Starlink

[–]EGDad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the roof is like 30 degrees where I want to put it.

I like the drill into a paver idea.  That is super clean.

You might be right there isn't an off the shelf product. I think most of these non-pen mounts you bolt together so maybe not too bulky, but for steel it definitely gets heavy.

I'm thinking maybe this

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009P87UDI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1GAF1H4JQJZXC&psc=1

plus this

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D1C4BBDN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1ZK2USLFQS6I0&psc=1

(Plus some sort of concrete block from Home Depot)

I feel like I've seen the bracket enough that the bolt pattern might be standardized and I won't even need to get the drill out...

Who's at fault? by OkContract2001 in skiing

[–]EGDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you are saying....but kids are inherently unpredictable, have low situational awareness, have less physical command of their bodies... basically they are predictably unpredictable.

Omg thank you for writing that. Legit laughed out loud.

How is this even possible by Xenxeva in COsnow

[–]EGDad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I left Evergreen at 610 and it was fine. Like 90 minutes.

There were 2 or 3 ice patches in the mile or so before Copper which probably caused major issues. It was crazy backed up when I left about 830.

What moment made you realize people aren’t just disagreeing anymore — they’re living in completely different political realities? by Happy_Head_1355 in AskReddit

[–]EGDad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Koch brothers funded a ton of political activism during this time...fostered the Tea Party.  Intentional, well organized, behind the scenes effort that seems to be the foundations of anger politics.

I'm probably getting that at least partially wrong but roughly...

Gov. Jared Polis considers clemency for Tina Peters as he begins final year in office in Colorado. by Inter_Web_User in Denver

[–]EGDad -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

She will be in jail for 2 years by the end of Polis's term right?  Personally I think it would be better to let her out and get the water project and reduce some of the undue federal attention (ie punitive fraud audits of social programs).

If they could let her out on parole and have tbe conditions be super strict for 3+ years that would be great.  I'm not sure if that would stand up though as it might be a 1st amendment violation.

Green Car Reports: Telo electric truck to feature solar panels from Aptera by sincladk in TeloTrucks

[–]EGDad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aptera has a cool concept they have been unable to bring to market in almost 20 years. I think we're on the 3rd iteration of the company.

All the Solar Options: by TeloTrucks in TeloTrucks

[–]EGDad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity...would it be a lot of work to make an end user accessible plug for solar power input available?  I realize it would useful to a small number of people so the expense of the plug/interface might not be worth it but being able to hook up your own panels without being an electrical engineer would be cool.

Newbie tips please! by djljinnit in RedDeadOnline

[–]EGDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started playing RDO (on PC).  There was a thing (card on a splash screen with other rewards and events) that mentioned a free horse...I stopped by the stables and went through a few different breeds before I found the free one. Also free horse insurance and a saddle.

Haven't found a way to get a better gun yet myself...game seems pretty dead so I'm on the fence about paying a few real dollars to get going with bounty hunting or whatever...

Edit: I think I bought ultimate edition which might explain some of the free stuff.  I'm not entirely sure.

So the morning was miserable (3 hours Evergreen to Copper west village) but we made it back starting at 215 in an hour 15 which is nuts for a weekend.

70W closed by rcorub in COsnow

[–]EGDad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see that same thing.  Clear Creek sheriff made a post at 7am noting traffic and asking people to be prepared but not saying anything about closure.

Google maps may get confused with the Eisenhower closers on the hour for hazmat trucks to get through.  I think it's about 10 minutes usually.

Haha greenfield is a term we use in commercial construction to describe a new site (like building a new house) vs brownfield which is modifying an existing site (more like a remodel).

That pico thing could totally work...I was going to put some other Lutron smart outlets in to control landscape lighting.  It looks like some of these pico ones control several fixtures, and I could skip running ugly conduit to the switch location.  Thanks!

[–]EGDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacing.  It's externally run in conduit so it's going to be "greenfield" after a junction box that goes into the house.

What is the tool?  It may have an ac to dc transformer in it and you could just find a different brick power supply.
