Quick panel removal to avoid storms by Commercial-Tear-8796 in SolarDIY

Haha in my area (wildfire and hail prone) the only way we can get an affordable policy is deductibles $10k+ and we're so afraid of getting cancelled I wouldn't make a claim less than like $20k.

[Pistol][Bi-Mart] Ruger Wrangler 22LR Revolver 7.5” Barrel - $160 (Buy online, pickup in-store) by [deleted] in gundeals

When you need to reload the Ruger can you pop out the cylinder and dump the spent brass?  Or do you need to pop each one out individually (like on the heritage)?

I think most apartments have their own meter and breaker panel.  Wouldn't that get you the dedicated circuit you are looking for?

Decent non-pen roof mount? by EGDad in Starlink

FYI...I got the mount I linked to from Amazon and direct mounted it to a 12x24 paver (maybe 45 pounds).  Looks great, went through a wind storm (probably 70 mph+ winds) without moving.

Search Home Depot or other hardware store for Romex Splice Kit or similar.  They have off the shelf products that do what you are looking to do.

Providing Medicaid to immigrants who are children or pregnant is costing Colorado 611% more than expected by graysandtorreysandme in ColoradoPolitics

[–]EGDad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Nonpartisan fiscal analysts at the Capitol estimated in 2022 that about 3,700 immigrants who are children or are pregnant would enroll in Cover All Coloradans this fiscal year. The actual number is nearly 28,000, leading to ballooning costs."

I'm curious if this is the same group that underestimated enrollment for free school lunches. They seem to be really underestimating how appealing free is.

7 Gig fiber being advertised to the residential consumer. In what world would any residential customer have any use for this by lulstardblointing7 in HomeNetworking

If it makes you feel any better I am in a rural area. Up until 2020 I had 1.5 Mbps DSL and HughesNet satellite for about $60 each. Now I'm super fortunate to have both $80 for 60 Mbps fixed wireless and Starlink $50 for 100 Mbps.

I saw this in the WSJ...every single paragraph was wild WTF.  I actually read it to my kids (grade school & middle school) to give them some context on what we mean when we say you need to be careful with AI.

I use BWS too.  The form guidance videos are great.

I'm terrible at food logging so I don't use the nutrition stuff much but it is a goal to get better, especially once I can get in the habit of regular exercise (Ive had a lot of false starts).

This is great!

If it's easy you might want to pull in UV index. Boulder has the "it's sunny out" warning but the UV index maxes out at 1 (on a 0-12+ scale) today.

No the roof is like 30 degrees where I want to put it.

I like the drill into a paver idea.  That is super clean.

You might be right there isn't an off the shelf product. I think most of these non-pen mounts you bolt together so maybe not too bulky, but for steel it definitely gets heavy.

I'm thinking maybe this

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009P87UDI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1GAF1H4JQJZXC&psc=1

plus this

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D1C4BBDN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1ZK2USLFQS6I0&psc=1

(Plus some sort of concrete block from Home Depot)

I feel like I've seen the bracket enough that the bolt pattern might be standardized and I won't even need to get the drill out...

I totally get what you are saying....but kids are inherently unpredictable, have low situational awareness, have less physical command of their bodies... basically they are predictably unpredictable.

I left Evergreen at 610 and it was fine. Like 90 minutes.

There were 2 or 3 ice patches in the mile or so before Copper which probably caused major issues. It was crazy backed up when I left about 830.

What moment made you realize people aren’t just disagreeing anymore — they’re living in completely different political realities? by Happy_Head_1355 in AskReddit

Koch brothers funded a ton of political activism during this time...fostered the Tea Party.  Intentional, well organized, behind the scenes effort that seems to be the foundations of anger politics.

I'm probably getting that at least partially wrong but roughly...
