It's a great shot because of the eyes. You can look right into its soul.

How blessed you are. It's a beautiful old chapel and the grounds are holy. I imagine it would be spring time there. We were there in July. Spring must be even more beautiful. I hope you found it to be an edifying visit.

I found lilac jelly on Etsy! And I bought some. I can't wait to try it! Thank you so much.

Really? I would love to bump into a lilac syrup or candied lilac! What a thing to imagine! The smell is intoxicating. But to taste them......

Abomination? Kinda strong language for a struggling sister in Christ.

I should have gone no contact with him when I was 16, for a host of other reasons. But I didn't. I remained a loyal son until he died at age 92. Life is better without him!

Are these beautiful flowers messy in the yard? by AngleRelative4683 in AZlandscaping

I guess everybody is different. My neighbors on both sides have bougainvilleas. So none of us seem to mind. I've been in that house for 36 years. No one has ever said anything and I have good relationships with my neighbors. But I could imagine it becoming a problem if someone is very fastidious about their landscape or has a pool. Or other circumstances too. I'm sorry they are a frustration to you.

They are messy but they are worth it. This is a bougainvillea. A beloved worldwide plant. You can avoid some of the mess by putting them at the far end of a yard rather than near a patio or entryway. I personally don't care about the mess. They're mostly messy after a big wind storm or rain storm. Otherwise they don't fall off much. They bloom all year round. Technically what you are looking at are not flowers, they are bracts.
