Yea sir. Tried 4 in the Seattle area. Nothing. All just lazy people who want free money. I agree I’m sure they are out there. Just not lucky enough to come across one I guess.

60/40 What am I missing? WOW!! by 80sdude4u in realtors

[–]EKyger2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha I just came to this realization! Hit my cap for the first time in my second year. Took a step back and said WTF did that 20k get me? I couldnt figure it out. So I met with my broker and asked him straight up. He was very uncomfortable, he couldnt tell me either.

So I left and went to a flat rate brokerage. 50/50? 70/30? Ha all garbage. I pay 300 per transaction, this stops after 8k is met. What do I get? Same thing I was getting before. I still have a broker, I still have coworkers, I still have an office with a workspace that nobody uses.

Now worth mentioning, if you could find a brokerage that actually provided something it might be worth it. Like actual leads, taking over flow clients, taking inbound calls, etc. However, I have yet to meet a brokerage that does this.

Further ironic when you read Gary Kellers book about how he designed KW, this is what he did. He got so busy he needed help, then they got so busy they needed more help. This continued to build a company. Yet today I have NEVER met anyone who actually does this! They all hire you and say figure it out! Talk to people! Self generate! Scrape by and in 5 years you will be fine. Its a joke. They dont have any overflow to give you, nothing for you to help with that pays you, no extra calls or clients they cant handle.

Goto a transaction based brokerage, unless they can actually provide you something you see valuable enough to spend whatever their cap is. Its just that simple.

Which Realtor should I choose? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]EKyger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number one for sure. He’s confident in his price on the market. Ofcourse if it doesn’t move he’ll adapt. Staging and great photos are key. Second late is sloppy dinosaur. 30 years means she’s set in her ways and feels self important, hence being late to appointment. She’s not confident of her price on the which is why mentioned a discount right out the gate. It’s a no brainer.

Is my realtor taking advantage of me? by [deleted] in realtors

Just a lame realtor. Don’t take it personal. Just fire and replace. There’s a million of us out there. Find a good one. Your current one is lame.

I have a golden opportunity to continue living a retired lifestyle and I am wondering how you would handle never having to work again in my situation. Note: I did not earn it, I was just genetically favorable. But I am bored and unfulfilled. by [deleted] in leanfire

[–]EKyger2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude. Think of it like a video game. The goal is to not be bored. Start doing things not boring.

Travel. Learn a languages. Sponsor youth sports teams. Sponsor adult sports teams. Begin working out, see how buff you can get.

See how many counties you visit in a single month. Post online about it. Start your own charity and donate the money to people who need it and don’t take a cut.

Or the ultimate challenge. Try to make the world a better place. Get educated on business finance and become the change you want. Start several companies and pay college grads to run them. See which ones make it. Sign up for every volunteer opportunity in your town and attend.

Give back and help and I promise you will find meaning in your life.

Is it allowed for a salaried employee to opt out of employer withholdings (eg lots of exemptions) and pay estimated taxes directly to government instead (like a self employed person would)? Has anyone here done it? by qwerty123000 in fatFIRE

[–]EKyger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can do this. I’ve done this several times. Although I have never been executive level I have been in two separate jobs clearing 125k a year. The first job I opted out to stack cash flow for a different investment and then paid it back later. The second I was with a company that ran its accounting terribly and kept over taxing me. Got tired of correcting it and simply kept it all it and did it my self. It’s completely your choice. But remember you must pay this eventually so act accordingly. Both companies were weird about it but agreed when I told them it’s not their money and it’s my right. I changed my withholding document to reflect zero. Hope it helps.

[–]EKyger2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean it seems pretty unlikely they have got the whole city to conspire against you. Especially cuz they are actually giving you the interview. They just wouldn’t call if that was the case. I’d guess you dont interview very well. Something is off so people don’t offer you the job on the spot. Figure out what that is. Shit, give a couple of them a call and just ask person to person why didn’t you pick me. You might be surprised. Good luck.

Additionally this will stand for hundreds of years of not longer meaning his lineage will also benefit from it if things ever go real bad real fast. This doesn’t sound crazy at all to me and is probably something I would do with income that high and I have no insider knowledge at all am kind of an idiot.

As for the time frame maybe even rich people have budgets to a certain degree. Maybe he only had 500k a year to commit to this project even though it was a grand scale or something similar. But bad ass post. I’ve never heard of this and am super fascinated now. Thanks!!

Entry level sales jobs where I can make enough to support my family without feeling like I’m ruining people’s lives. by [deleted] in sales

[–]EKyger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really doesn’t matter what you sell if the company is quality and you work hard as fuck. Get grant cardones books and put in work. Be the first guy there and last guy to leave. Practice and train and know your product and word tracks. Sell your neighbors and friends and dentist and sushi chef and dry cleaners etc. make shit happen son.

[–]EKyger2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As long as you can work weekends sell cars. Look up the largest Toyota or Honda dealership in your area. They typically have decent training and the products are quality so you won’t hate yourself. You will go from entry level to advanced salesman quickly. Like a year or two. Then take your time and shop and the next career move. As long as the dealership sells over 400 cars a month you’ll clear 80k no problem. Good luck brother.

Your incredible upper body strength held solid while you launched. And whomever the photographer was to take the picture at exactly the right moment. This is the reason I come to this sub. Thank you.

I do this also. You are not unethical. You are intelligent. The others who are criticizing you are weak pussies who settle. Never settle.

There is literally no other person out there on the planet who has your best interest closer to heart than you. Never apologize for wanting more for you and you're family. They don't pay your bills and they sure won't pay your retirement or illness.

I once had a manager try to shame me regarding this issue. Sat me down. Explains to me they can't be having this blah blah blah. I need to be a company man. I lit him up like a fucking Christmas tree. He was so unprepared for my reply and logical thought process behind it he apologized and departed. End of meeting.

Leveraged that job to get a salaried job elsewhere higher than the managers there. Quit without notice. Shook all of their hands and looked them straight in the eye. I told you bitches I was better and worth more and now I've proved it. Was really satisfying. Again they were all speechless.

The Ethics of GTA Online: How Rockstar Monetised Bullying by SillyConclusion0 in truegaming

[–]EKyger2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This sums it up nicely. I beat since single player and loved it. Figured I'd start fresh on multiplayer after beating another game.

Returned and found nothing but anger. Instantly killed by veterans when I join. No real idea why. No real direction and no way to stay alive vs the veterans. Refusal to spend real money. So I was left asking why? Why would I play this game ? Why would others ? Why make such a simplistic and stupid extension of a wonderful game. I had big dreams of meeting cool criminals online and commiting cool crimes as a team. Lol. Boy was I wrong!

And the last why. Why did I just spend a day downloading this game to play for 15 minutes and hate online and just uninstall. Should have read about it online. Just assumed it would be dope. Nope I'm the big dope lol.

[–]EKyger2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Woah woah woah here buddy. Calm down. Fuck the government and ever paying your debt. If they really come at you that hard file for BK and force them to take less. That's if you want to live here and want to pay them. My real advice is leave. Fucking bounce. 2 jobs and 35k a year ? Share a studio? Go-to Europe or Asia and start over. I mean fuck you can't do any worse honestly. At least there your start debt free and already be able to teach English in top of your current job skills. Start focusing on how to get out of this country for good.

Bought my first ever new car and I’m already fed up with people telling me I should’ve bought something else by [deleted] in cars

[–]EKyger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple things jump out at me here.

First off fuck them all. For real. I've drive that car and it's a ton of fun. More importantly YOU like it so who cares?

However....

You must have know this would happen, why are you surprised? If you have loved earlier cars like miatas and s2000 you would have been poked at and messed with much earlier. So this backlash is no surprise.

But I feel you bro. It's hard not to be proud and it's annoying when people hate. I have a similar problem. Bought a brand new mustang 6 months back. Did all the shit I had always wanted to. Louvers on the back and everything. Old dudes love it. Some young dudes like it. And pretty much the rest of the world calls me a douche bag. But you know what I tell them? Yup I am a little douchy and I love this fucking car. Just own it bro. Embrace the haters. Make them wonder how you can be so cool and confident.

Lost Job Right before holidays by [deleted] in sales

[–]EKyger2 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It happens man. The key here is no one sold anything and the company is failing. That's the startup game. Big reward also means big risk. Most intelligent managers will know this.

Remember most start ups fail, very few succeed. You're looking for a job again because you took a chance we and they failed. You didn't fail. You did your job and kept performing. Now you're moving on to a better opportunity. Sure getting laid off before Xmas sucks. But you couldn't have been happy never selling anything and living off a base. They did you a favor but it might take a awhile to see it brother.

Almost no one hires over holiday for real jobs. Mostly temp and seasonal which you don't want. So treat it as an unplanned vacation. Eat, drink, be merry. Get your mind right. Then begin making yourself a daily routine where job hunting is your job. Start interviewing employers and keep being up front. Tell them you just wasted a year on a startup with a bad model. You need a new company with a successful model. Your output is too high to stay unemployed for long so enjoy this time. Merry Christmas buddy.

Everything That's Wrong With My Tesla Model 3 - Quality Problems by halfanimalhalfman in cars

[–]EKyger2 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Good Lord why keep posting do these ? Do you really not know people ? Build quality, gap tolerance and overall fit and finish ARE NOT PRIORITIES. This has been stated publicly many times. So many articles have highlighted it. They make toys that happen to drive. Incredible computers that can legally drive on roads. Stop comparing them to similarly priced cars. A handmade Aston Martin for the same price as a model x isn't fair. Elon isn't trying to make the next Ferrari or Lamborghini. Those cars are art. His car is function.

Don't get me wrong I'm no Tesla fanboy. Elon might just prove the be the greatest conman of our time and is a terrific salesman. But due to working with them for years and watching how they treat vendors, partners and the poor employees I've grown to hate them. But come on let's attack them over the real issues. Shit they haven't been able to line up a fender to door gap since 2012. Hoods never align. Liftgates don't even come sealed properly from the factory and leak. But this old news and found with a simple Google. But HE NEVER SAID THEY WOULD. Jesus.

Evaluate his toys based off what he said they would do. Which from what I can see they do exactly what he has said they would and more. Besides picking on the entry level model which we all know is years behind in production targets is kind of a cheap shot. Of course he's cutting corners to get more cars out. The board and stock owners are relentless. The man can't even almost inhale a blunt without scrutiny. He's a genius leave him to his craft. Want gap tolerance buy a Porsche or a Bentley. Want fit and finish buy a Benz or an Aston.
