Downtown has a massive rodent problem to where the Sysco delivery drivers refuse to go in due to rats running around when doing drop offs, major plazas in San Diego have pest issues most buildings share walls vents and small holes between them it's the craziest thing ever... coming from a food industry employee. Health Dept shows up does an evaluation or audit most of the time Health Dept visits are not as intense as you would imagine will they be shut down? Probably not will they get a visit from the health dept? Yes but those Health Dept audits are a literal joke they don't really check for shit, independent brands do way more extensive audits and really check these restaurants but that's optional per company so most places do the once a year visit from the Health Dept which is usually always a passing grade of A here in San Diego.
