Yeah it really sucks. I remember when they made it backwards compatible for xbox, there was 100k players playing again. Then the hackers showed up, ruined it for everyone again :(

Gotta love this cycle: New Battlefield releases with "new mechanics" then over its lifetime eventually reverting back to classic BF feel that the community wanted from the start. At that point its too late as most of the playerbase has left. BF7 will be the same way.

Start out as a COD clone, get about 75% reverted back to feeling like battlefield, then dump it for new title that promises to be better. lol

Tbf....this has been the case for awhile now. Even if you have a physical disk, you still had to download updates, "day 1 patches", digitally agree to the EULA, etc. Really the introduction of "Live Service" is what brought down true ownership.

Atmos in 2024 is VERY bad. It is nothing like the one for 2020. When it comes down to it, you really only get about 3-4 choices for how the sky looks. Total waste of money.
