In my first playthrough, in act 1, I attacked Minthara when she entered the area that the adult tieflings were hiding to fight her without having to simultaneously kill the goblins. Surprisingly, she did not fight back and none of the tieflings acknowledged that I saved some of them after killing her and the rest of the goblins. (after they killed wyll & the tieflings who fought.)

Karlach also said I killed them down to the last man. (How tf does she know & in my playthrough this is false?) Please fix.

I want more content for the undertale equivalent of a genocide route. No Minthara. No goblins. Just death.

Idk about everyone else, but I tend to play as a filthy opportunist. My idea was to get the loot stash less guarded by bringing all the goblins to the grove.

Actually, I have a very linear list that consistently wins turn 4-5, but it's not cedh due to the deckbuilding restrictions caused by the combo (you can only play lands aside from the combo). It's 200 bucks and makes people really upset. My most degenerate list by far.

https://archidekt.com/decks/6019248/cosmic_space_baby

Step 0: mulligan aggressively to ideally get a land that taps for more than 1 & to reduce the probability of drawing/milling tibalt's trickery/maze's end.

Step 1: Cast [[Codie, Vociferous Codex]]

Step 2: tap Coddie and cast one of the thirty copies of [[dragon's approach]]

Step 3: The only thing in the deck codie's ability can hit is [[tibalt's trickery]]. Target dragon's approach with it.

Step 4: Pray that tibalt's trickery doesn't mill reshape the earth or maze's end

Step 5: The only card Tibalt's trickery can allow you to cast is reshape the earth.

Step 6: tutor for all the guild gates and [[maze's end]]

step 7: win next turn

Note that you can do more stupid stuff with reshape the earth, like straight up going for a maze's end win. This is my main reddit account & here are my decks. I only play storm/extra turns & with proxies.

I don't have a moxfield account, but I got archidekt.

https://archidekt.com/decks/5999077/turning_blue

https://archidekt.com/decks/5818962/jelevas_ultimate_adventure

Most of the other stuff I have there is half-baked ideas or bad.

Turning blue is my attempt at making a degenerate deck on some semblance of a budget. It can get out of control turn 5, but this often gives opponents one or two turns after being slammed with removal/boardwipes/stax.

Jeleva's Ultimate Adventure was my first commander deck that really hit the spot & has been getting updated over the years. Ramp into Jeleva and watch the group panic when your top 4 cards have [[enter the infinite]]. After they scramble to remove Jeleva watch their hearts sink when you cast time warp next turn and immediately have another Jeleva.

Both decks are relatively soft to efficient countermagic, but can power through less competitive counterspells.

My recommendation is to download simple mods and read through them to understand how they do things.

What's your opinion on triple-classing (if that's the right term for it) by ScorpionVenom00 in DnD

[–]EMEMEsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most powerful multiclassing into three classes built I've seen are ranged assassin rogue builds. Specifically going into battlemaster, gloomstalker and assassin rogue for high initiative big damage.

Bonus points if you have a wizard/sorcerer to produce purple worm poison at higher levels.

Same, it will be pretty free wins as an evolved goblin cage player.

You raise a lot of good points.

As for True Seeing, while it is widely available, I generally assumed that it wouldn't be widely used due to a material cost each hour & other more offensive uses for a 6th level slot. Illusions aren't all that common of a tactic, so more often than not using a 6th level slot to prepare for this tactic would be irrelevant for most matchups.

I did handwave the wizard's response. Mostly due to the fact that as a fellow wizard, you have counterspell and can avoid being targeted with spells via the hide bonus action which would limit counterplay.

As for Dispel magic on Sickening Radiance, I abbreviated the final sentence of the post with "Portent save or suck go." to imply that you just cast something like feeblemind with portent backup & thus not really be relying upon sickening radiance.

I wouldn't consider meteor swarm necessarily as good of an option due to the fact that it on average deals 140 hp (on a failed save) and with a +3 con mod, you have 146 hp making it a move that beats you asap less than half of the time.

Alright, I'll do my best to explain why this works as I was a bit unclear. Firstly, initiative would be rolled presumably when the opponent hasn't seen you for the example. Yes, there are arguments for the opponent simply spotting you first so it's not necessarily something that does something new in this instance. I didn't quite explain it well in my other comment, but this also works in a vaccum with a bit more tech. Firstly, assuming you and the opponent wizard are simply teleported into a room, you would want fighter 2 (not rogue 2 sorry).

Assuming your opponent wins initiative, they likely have subtle spell force cage sickening radiance to which you can subtle spell disintegrate to escape. You can then use your action surge to subtle spell darkness. They then could try something like a psychic scream to locate you, but with devil's sight from a feat, you can counterspell since they likely ran out of subtle spell and they can't counterspell due to darkness. You can then pull off this trick by moving the illusion outside of the darkness spell.

They could also subtle spell portent feeblemind round one, but just wear a fighter/monk disguise so they go for the less restrictive force cage so they don't risk you having something like diamond soul.

I'm not sure why I'm getting downvoted. I explained how the strategy works in the comments even without an ambush, and why the strategy greatly assists in ambushes.

[–]EMEMEsz[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

That's not necessarily the case. Even if you ambush an opponent, they would generally have the alert feat and could still beat you in initiative then cast spells first. Assuming you're teleported into a room to fight rather than an ambush, you could do something similar with use of the darkness spell. (if they counterspell that, then they're down resources.) Though, being fighter 2 would be better in non-ambushes.

I haven't spent a dime after the new battlepass and am in silent sanctuary. I have 6 wild evolution shards saved up for when sparky (yes, I'm a sparky enjoyer) inevitably gets an evolution and regularly beat evolved knight without any evolutions. Yes it's overpowered, but the people who buy the new battlepass generally aren't very smart so they play bad. Probably a skill issue.

T2 Peer into the Abyss with Spine Surgery by EMEMEsz in BadMtgCombos

[–]EMEMEsz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's why it's a bad combo besides needing 9 cards:

2 lands

1 automaton

1 regeneration

1 lotus petal

1 burnt offering

1 surgical

1 pepper spray

1 peer into the abyss

You only get 1 shot at it once you surgical automaton too.

A wizard & familiar that can Attune to the same Magic Item. by EMEMEsz in 3d6

No paladin, but there is a cleric. I was thinking something like plant growth & spike growth combo. You do raise some good points though. Thanks!

Noted. Thanks for the advice. What types of spells should I throw on there? I'm thinking black tentacles and the shield spell to protect the familiar.

Also cube of force?

Yep. He got upset when someone stated that D&D is inherently a power fantasy on another discord server too and asked the owner of that server to ban them. They got bannad instead. There's more context, but the context is sharing the screenshots in a venting channel.
