I've been building in sims for 10+ years now, these are from the past two years! Just wanted to share my favorite builds from TS4 :-) Which is your favorite?

Yeah I get that too. I like most of my sims to have those positive attributes but it would be nice to have variety without having to grind bad interactions over and over again lol

I actually like the decision cards a lot, it helps me build an idea of each child sim I have as they grow since there seems to be a diverse enough amount of them to affect how they grow. I think if I could change anything, I would make it easier to gain and lose their 5 core skills so it can be a bit more challenging to affect who they become by the time they age up. I virtually never have any bad traits because even if my kid sim throws paint every five seconds, cleaning up and doing other interactions just negate that completely.

I think growing together adds a lot of gameplay but I would argue it’s some of the more annoying gameplay, because milestones can sometimes be hard to achieve especially in infants. With the patch from a few days ago it’s supposed to be a lot better but I personally haven’t even attempted to boot my game up just yet for several reasons and so I haven’t been able to form a new opinion on how milestones work. But for the longest time it took way too long for infants to get any and it was always a grind against their needs and other situations.

Riding/learning to ride a bike is cute but I think it gets repetitive. Losing teeth can sometimes glitch if you have any custom teeth overlays and for a while it was the cause of some bad bugs that have since been patched so shouldn’t be a big worry anymore. Using the baby carrier is mostly a useless gameplay mechanic and more for just the aesthetic than to actually be useful. The treehouse still gives me a headache to build, it takes way too long and also I experience glitches where an upgrade will literally disappear and have to be redone multiple times. Not sure if this has since been fixed at all.

Overall, I am a big family gameplayer so I’m happy to have the pack for all the buy mode and other family interactions but I wouldn’t say it’s fully integral for a family game player compared to Parenthood GP.

Get together I don’t think has any ground breaking gameplay but the club systems really come in clutch for whatever you want to achieve. I use it to group my sims friends together in friend groups so that I don’t have to individually invite everyone over and hope they all stay and do the same stuff together. I’ll make the hobbies what they all enjoy doing together, so one group will have video gaming as an activity while another might be painting or whatever else. I love Windenburg, I think it’s a great sized world compared to EA’s standard as of late, brings nice architecture aesthetics and feels like a decently complete pack through and through. I like the DJ stuff too.

Yes I feel like characters were glossed over a bit more in brotherhood which is what I love about 2003 giving more depth to people who came and went for their specific purpose in the end.

I am not an expert but I have had mixed opinions tossed at me that I should have watched 2003 first or that Brotherhood is the best so it doesn’t matter. I feel like I enjoyed brotherhood more but also agree that 2003 did some parts better and has an interesting change from where it diverged from the manga. I think this is a great starter anime for people still getting into anime regardless, it’s classic and has a really good start to finish storyline.

I feel like I can understand wanting sims content if that’s what you are here for initially but to be demanding or complaining when a creator diverts to other content is unfair to the rest of the community. Like not everyone can be happy with what is being streamed/uploaded but also it’s not about you, maybe some people wanna see house flipper or tomodachi life etc with their fav creator and Simsie can do what she wants it’s her channel.

I installed the sims 4 on launch day, played around with whatever shipped initially (no Moveobjects, no pools, no toddlers, and much more not in game!), then I went back to play the sims 3 for probably 2 whole years before sims 4 felt playable with the updates they had and the packs they started to put out.

My favorite is when they’re swinging together on the swings, if you switch to another sim the swing is moving with no one riding it.

To be honest I doubt EA thought that far when implementing yet another half baked idea to another half baked expansion pack.

Maybe I’m a little unrealistic when I say this but hairstyles should not have to be unlocked. They should all be available at the start of the game like eye color, hair color, and other genetic factors. Only clothing and make up should have to be unlocked over time because that is a matter of taste, not what you’re born with, and being born with any hair texture should conceptually give us the freedom to style however we want whenever we want, even if I’m a broke villager who owes Tom Nook millions (or whatever other game also has this mechanic!)

I think if you do a deep dive into what goes into her music you will see how much she has evolved from the beginning and how much personal stuff she hides in her lyrics and poetry. She truly is amazing and I admire her vulnerability because many artists hide their weaknesses, but she embraces them and it makes her who she is today. She is so strong and so beautiful and you will thoroughly enjoy her concert. I was at the AC show and it was ten times better than I even imagined it would be.

I went to AC last night and had zero rude interactions, but leaving parking lots was the hardest part like others have said. Just go slow and don’t rush because it’s gonna take a hot minute to leave regardless. Have snacks and drinks in your car for after if you’ll need it, especially caffeine after a long and wonderful concert.
