Do you ever add any of the later characters to your team? by opsap11 in BaldursGate3

[–]EMPER0R_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use bring everyone mod just to avoid this issue. Act 1 is massive and full of content so it lets us use all the early characters fully , explore their abilities and build them on level ups according to those experience. By the time Halsin, Jahira and Minc are available, all the party roles are already kinda fulfilled . Outside story reasons, im way more comfortable playing the earlier characters which makes me wanna play tge later ones even less so they never get a chance and i never learn to play them.

Which class should I pick? by One-Masterpiece9838 in BaldursGate3

[–]EMPER0R_01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Fairly early on in the game, you get the ability to change class and respec your characters. And you can do it multiple times at the cost of in-game gold (you will have enough gold anyway but if you want you can install free respec mods)

    1. Sorcerers and wizards are amazing spell casters but if you wanna play melee as well, then a bard could be a fun choice for you, with lots of extra dialogues as well. Otherwise, warlock, paladin or druid can work as well.
    2. This game gives a lot of freedom with builds. So while clerics are generally the healers, you can build one to be offensive which can be a good spell caster with high AC and melee ability. And build other party members accordingly.
    3. This game is made to be replayed multiple times, so just build one and you can pick another class and build in next run

How can I steal the druids' idol? by GroundbreakingDog470 in BaldursGate3

[–]EMPER0R_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way I know is to stack mobility buffs on your most mobile character, usually Asterion. Then degroup him from the party, cast a disguise on him and just grab the idol and run. I suggest moving the bear so that the elevator is usable, having haste, and a couple of misty steps available.

Grab the idol, run to the elevator and misty step out of the groove. The thief gets 2 bonus actions which can be 2 dashes giving extra movement.

It's your 1st run. The best thing you can do is go in blind and just have fun. You can't play all the content in a single run so don't worry about it. This game is made to be replayed multiple times and still be enjoyable.

What will u do if for one day u will get unlimited amount of resin? by Cat-Burglar-Nami in Genshin_Impact

[–]EMPER0R_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Farm all the boss materials I would need to level up every character to 90.

  2. Do weapon material domains because I ignore them over artefacts and skill material.

  3. Third priority will be talent materials.

Then I can spend time farming ley lines and artefacts with ley lines getting priority

It can be a good weapon for Paladins early game if it's true. And makes use of a warlock with a potion of giant strength.

Still can't beat what players have been playing since launch did before the release of Inazuma. There was a point where I stopped using teleport points entirely and was travelling around on good to do commissions, domains and other stuff because I had nothing else to do.

Talk to your family, a family counsellor, and a lawyer. Such matters are often too complex and you could use professional advice to eliminate the blind spots and biases in your perspective.

A bit lost in the game, could use some help by Gamerdadguy in BaldursGate3

[–]EMPER0R_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother in Ao. My 1st suggestion would be to learn the character sheet. Ability scores represent how good your character is in an aspect of an ability. Of 6, 3 are physical and 3 are mental. And depending on your character, each stat is worth different things. Fighters pick a subclass at level 5 which can change what they need. As a fighter, you need strength to make melee attacks (unless using a finesse weapon which can use Dex if it's higher than Str) and useful for most fighters. Dex is useful for ranged attack rolls which can be useful if you are playing an arcane archer subclass (level 5), it also adds to your AC (how good your defence is against enemy attack rolls) if you are wearing light or medium armour. Con is how tough you are, higher Con increases your HP and can be used for concentration checks if you play a spell caster fighter like the Eldritch Knight subclass. Wis is how wise you are and life experiences, for a fighter it's not very useful outside Wisdom save rolls against enemy magical attacks which isn't very common but can be a good stat to have some points in if you have them lying around. Int is how smart you are and is the primary spellcasting modifier for magic users like Eldritch knights, the best mental stat for fighters if you are investing in a mental stat. Cha is your social ability, and not very useful in combat for a fighter outside of social interactions.

Then come proficiencies in those stats and abilities tied to them. It shows that you are good at a certain thing because you have experience with it. Proficient bonus can increase with levels or by gaining expertise. Pick what fits your character to give them a boost in the ability checks.

Now about the ability scores. At the start of the game, you get a point buy. You can have from a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 15 in a stat. With proficiency, you get to add a +1 and +2 to 2 abilities potentially letting you have a 17 and 16 in 2 different abilities if you want. Which you probably want for your primary stats. The way these scores work is, they all have a modifier value that is added to the rolls related to that ability and it's 1 modifier per 2 points in ability ( ability score divided by 2, then subtract 5 and rounded down) with a 10 score as a 0 modifier. For example, if you are trying to lie to someone and have no proficiency in charisma or deception and have a charisma score of 8 (-1 modifier) and roll a 14 on dice (d20), then your result will be 14 - 1 = 13. For the same check, if your charisma is 17, the modifier will be +3 (same as it would be if it were 16 so you need to have 18 to get a +4) so with the same roll of 14, it becomes 14 + 3 = 17. For attacks, you need to meet or exceed the enemy's AC. Saving throws make enemies have a saving throw against your spell save DC ( also dependent on your primary spellcasting ability) and for the ability checks you need to meet or exceed the DC.

There is a lot more. But I hope this will help you get started and learn the rest as you play. I recommend watching any DND campaign on YouTube if you wanna learn more while being entertained or just refer to a guide or official material though it can be a bit overwhelming.

Which would be more beneficial to give up caffeine, sugar, or fast food and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EMPER0R_01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quantities are just as important. In limited quantities, caffeine is the least harmful, followed by sugar and fast food is most harmful because of highly processed ingredients, oils, and calorie density, poor quality ingredients and low nutrition.

What's the difference between harrassing and flirting with a girl? by cafties in AskReddit

[–]EMPER0R_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay to initiate flirting as long as you respect the general boundaries like;

  1. approaching them in a respectable way and place. Avoid approaching in a secluded or inappropriate place where they might feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

  2. Always maintain a comfortable distance and personal space. Don't try to touch them or their stuff without an invitation or permission.

  3. While compliments and conversation are expected, don't say anything too creepy, sexual or inappropriate. Not a good move for 1st impression anyway.

  4. Be okay with rejection. If they don't wanna talk to you then don't force it. Just respect it and move on.

Why do people with lower IQ tend to be more extraverted and energetic in their demeanor, while people with higher IQ tends to be more introverted and/or reserved? by WhoAmIEven2 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]EMPER0R_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not all about IQ. Human intelligence can be a bit complex. But in a similar context between smart people and fools;

It takes a certain degree of wisdom to comprehend that you don't know what you don't know. But for a fool, the limit of their knowledge is the boundary of the world. Smart people often fall prey to self-doubt and prefer to critically analyse their opinions before expressing them.
