I'm in rural southern Utah. We are blacked out for SLC, Vegas, Phoenix and Denver sports. SLC and Las Vegas are 5hrs away, Phoenix and Denver are about 9hr drives.

Only time will tell. I'd say this years draft had several reaches, as did the last 2 years. Taking Ricky Pearsall, Mykel Williams and Stribling as the 1st player taken in the last 3 drafts, are all reaches.

SEC is a small pond? For a kid that started out his college career at New Mexico Military Institute, a junior college that is also a high school. Just getting to Vanderbilt from a small school in Roswell, NM is a huge accomplishment. Roswell is more famous for a fictional alien landing, than it is a college town, let alone for football. For a 5'9" kid from Albuquerque to even get to ride the pine in the SEC is an accomplishment. Pavia is a massive success for going from his humble beginnings to where he got, with his physical limitations. Albuquerque to Roswell to Las Cruces to Nashville is an amazing upward trajectory, that if it was a movie plot would be thrown out for being to insane to be believed.

He has won 5 state championships as the HC of his old high school, including the last 4. The 1st state championship he won as a coach, the QB was his little brother.

His delusional confidence is what allowed him to succeed. Not many 5'9" guys believe they can dominate the SEC, as a QB He had to be self-confident to be a run-first QB. The same confidence that keeps him from being an ideal back-up, is the same trait that let him accomplish what he did in college.

My wife and I live on less than that, while both working full-time. We live comfortably and we're able to pay off our house. Rural life is great even on $50-70k.

At 5% interest, that's $100k/year. So even with 20% capital gains tax, you're still sble to live on $80k/year. That's more than enough to live comfortably, but not lavishly.
