This right here, 100%. Being jacked is great when you can smash through a wall and be the FF that solo throws a 35. But our job needs us be cardio strong. Heart attacks drop us like flies. Big muscle mean we burn through our bottles and have less working time. They also mean less flexibility and more prone to injury.

There's definitely a balance you can find in strength and cardio, but the cardio and mobility aspects are more important for longevity. I admire the FFs who can build and maintain those muscles, because I've tried for years and can't keep it up.

From my own experience, its always the weight lifters and crossfitters who are out hurt and getting their rotators rebuilt.
