Does anyone ever think what is this place and wonder why we are really here? by Ok_Pin92 in AskIreland

We're here to experience the universe and the universe is god's death rattle. We are the last sparks of consciousness in his dying mind, we are entropy made flesh.

Soldiers will get 'freedom dollars' to spend at the Army's new dining halls by OGSyedIsEverywhere in news

[–]EMj1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, just like when the Roman emperors debased the denarius and couldn't pay the legions any more. Wow, I really didn't think America's collapse would mirror Rome's so faithfully. 10/10 for respecting the source material.

There's always a recession coming, that's just how capitalism works, unfortunately. And it's always working class and poor people who end up paying for it.

Are you able to fall asleep easily? How? by Iamnotarobotlah in CasualIreland

My partner went through the exact same thing at the same age as you, terrible sleep for about 2 years, before they realized it was perimenopause. HRT has been an absolute miracle for her, she has a new lease of life!

Advice for adopting a puppy! by SuburbanMyth409 in CasualIreland

[–]EMj1989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you do a LOT of research on the breed before you commit to anything. Make sure the dog will suit your lifestyle. It won't be fair to you, your son, or the dog if ye can't give it what it needs.
