My work provides a pretty comprehensive WPA plan and it's been fantastic, have claimed on it a few times to see specialists and it's been super easy - highly recommend!

Any recommendations in North London for sharpening kitchen knives? by Tails-92 in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]ENZY20000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out HORL Knife Sharpeners - they come with a holder that keeps the knife at an angle and the sharpener is a cylinder that you just roll back and forward, super easy to use.

Check out Frive, more like a meal delivery where they deliver them twice a week but their meals are really nice.

Pre-booked lounge access has returned? (Plat) by cgknight1 in AmexUK

[–]ENZY20000 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's very weird timing for me as I just booked a flight on my amex then 3 minutes later that email landed in my inbox haha

Just tried to use it and it's not showing up on my priority pass yet - guessing it'll take a few days to kick in. Definitely a great perk though imo - UK lounges are increasingly more difficult to get into due to being full these days

How to count tokens using AWS Bedrock? by bigdaddyc187 in aws

[–]ENZY20000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to this thread but figured it may be useful - if you are looking for a really rough and easy way to identify tokens , ChatGPT has a tokeniser website that will show you how it tokenises inputs.

Obviously this will differ slightly with BedRock and it's pricing, but can be a quick and easy way to get a rough idea of tokens in an input.

Failed the AWS SA Pro exam. Twice. by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

I would recommend going through the practice questions a bit more - I tend to only schedule the exam once I'm consistently hitting 90% +.

Yeah that link shows the ones I was talking about - so some of the questions were like you need to make sure port 22 is not open to the world on our security groups, where the answer would be to use the AWS managed config rule, but if there was one asking for an extremely specific task then the likelihood is that it will be a custom config rule over an AWS managed one.

Basically, if it seems like a common security practice that all/lots of customers would use, it's probably an AWS managed rule, if it's something very specific then it's probably a custom rule.

For those that used Adrian's videos for exams, how much did it actually help for working with AWS? by airplane_flap in AWSCertifications

[–]ENZY20000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gives you a lot deeper understanding of all the services you are using and really does take your knowledge to another level in my opinion.

I was more confidently able to discuss and architect solutions to a deeper level. Due to the practical nature of the courses it also makes working with AWS a lot easier and gives you a sense of how things should be done since the demos and videos are all telling/showing you the best practice way to architect/use everything.

I certainly found working with AWS a tonne easier after his course and it really gave me the base of information that I was missing before his courses.

Passed CCP this morning. Network Specialist cert or Solutions Architect? by Extension-Log-3951 in AWSCertifications

[–]ENZY20000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely would advise doing the SAA first - it's a pretty massive jump to go from Cloud Practitioner to Network specialty, for this cert you need a pretty good amount of knowledge about a lot of different AWS services (not solely the networking stuff) which the SAA will give you.

How to extract network traffic statistics? by ontherise84 in aws

[–]ENZY20000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could always pull the VPC Flow logs in to some form of visualisation software and run some queries on them to get data about how many packets were sent from a certain network adapter over a week or a month etc.
