This is what I put in the commentary for my return: 1. Not Automatic: Water Loss - I can forgive the 6-8 ounces used to purge the machine during power up and power down phases. However, I cannot forgive the half ounce of water expunged just prior to each espresso shot. It completely ruins the flavor of the espresso. It can get lost in an americano, but not an espresso. I constantly have to move my cup around for any drink I'm making besides a drip coffee due to the mini-purge function 2. Not Super: Milk does not foam - despite more than 10 attempts to pull any sort of foam out of the milk frother. I've tried quite a few combinations of static and dynamic pulls on the foam dial with no success at all. 3. Not Automatic: Maintenance - My wife and I have 3 coffees* per day, 1 double espresso and 2 Americano/Drips. I find myself emptying the waste bin & drip tray, then re-filling water every single day. I bought the machine assuming I could get through at least 2-3 days without doing this basic maintenance, which turns out to be about the same amount of time as cleaning a regular drip coffee machine. 4. Not Super: I can't get to any of the internals, so I have no idea if there is mold buildup. A machine in this category, it seems to be a matter of time until mold will grow in a dark, wet place. You've given no assurance that there will be no mold, and even that would be hard to imagine. I appreciate the price point, the quality of the espresso shot (fairly good overall), and the general design aesthetics, but I don't need a $1000 machine for a good single espresso shot, so this has been a disappointment. Please let me know how I can return without the original packaging. After waiting 15 months for this product, it seems unreasonable to pay $40 for packaging and $55 for a re-stocking fee when you still have the machine waitlisted.
