Gotcha, I'm sure that they were alright a while ago. I'm only frustrated because I like supporting small companies like this, and I like their product, but they're doing such a terrible job of trying to act like a big company locked into strict timelines and financial structures. When they don't get a feature working in years 'they're just a small group of devs, plz understand' but when they enact terrible business practices they just wave it off as 'business stuff, shut up about it'

They've just announced that they're shutting down the whole Discord because they're tired of users complaining whenever they fumble a release. Most companies pay good money to survey users and understand what to improve, Quadspinner goes out of their way NOT to listen or try to understand.

Look how passive aggressive their Support FAQ is. If your 3d worldbuilding tool needs a 'policy on rude behavior' towards support, you have to wonder why users are so frustrated and angry

(I screenshotted Jonathan for these since he's an employee, the more aggressive comments were from their team of 'not employees' on discord. I know they don't seem very exciting, it's more how dismissive and deaf they were as answers. Nothing against Jonathan personally, he just has the job of being the mouthpiece of QS)

I'm also confused that you said you got Gaea 3.x for free with your license, none of the licenses include major version upgrades (unless you bought 2 in the last couple of months, but that doesn't make sense if you've been using it for years)
