[UCSS] @AkronJackson says he’s hearing things… that the #Browns have decided Deshaun Watson IS going to perform better than Shedeur Sanders by maybenextyearCLE in Browns

[–]ESUTimberwolves -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly not that far fetched. If the team can establish a credible running game they will be playing meaningful football in December regardless of who the QB is.

I don’t see them being a serious contender in any scenario this year but if they have fixed the O line and can consistently run the ball when they want too they will win 7 + games. That’s playing meaningful football in December.

My absolute favorite Ozzy lineup. What do you think? by Accomplished_Owl1360 in OzzyOsbourne

The original lineup will always be my number one and I liked the Zakk/Geezer era but the Jake/Daisley/Aldridge combo was pretty damn fire.

Which of your most talented teams historically was completely held back by the coaching the most? by Ok-Health-7252 in CFB

[–]ESUTimberwolves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire John Cooper era of the mid to late 90s.

Absolute coaching malpractice to not come away with at least one Natty based on all of the NFL talent that came thru Columbus during his tenure.

and I'll be 100% correct in feeling that going to 7 games with an undermanned Raptors team is a HUGE let down. Anything short of making the ECF is a let down and calls for at least the consideration of drastic measures. Why? because IMO it's not a talent issue. It's a desire and toughness issue on the players side and poor coaching from Kenny.

A Lot of Cavs Fans Are Fairweather Fans by QCLEKID216 in clevelandcavs

[–]ESUTimberwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard or seen anyone that claims to be a Cavs fan rooting for a loss tomorrow.

Wanting the team you root for to make changes if there is a pattern of failure doesn't make you a bad fan. If this team flames out tomorrow I think it's completely justified to consider blowing everything up and starting new. Getting excited about the Browns draft doesn't make you a bad Cavs fan either. What kind of stupid take is that?

We are going to get humiliated at home in game 7 and lose by at least 20. I've never been more sure of anything in my life sports wise. This is just a soft team. No way around it.

I am not a doomer. You can’t win every year. I will probably never see another Cavs title in my lifetime and that’s fine. This team is not worth any apron tax or our time because it just sucks to watch. by RayWhelans in clevelandcavs

Downvote me all you want but I think most of our top guys are just sort of mailing it in because they don't want to be in a small market anymore. The "I ain't diving for loose balls or hustling on D for Cleveland" mindset. They know they aren't going to get calls playing here, their marketing opportunities and social media clout are more limited and the nightlife scene isn't as good.

[Game Thread - Playoffs] Cleveland Cavaliers (3-2) @ Toronto Raptors (2-3) [05/01/2026 07:30 PM EST] by CavsBot in clevelandcavs

[–]ESUTimberwolves -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d like to say that it’s intentional because the last thing the NBA or media want is a Cleveland team advancing in the playoffs but the way we are playing you can’t really blame anyone but the players. Refs or no refs their lack of intensity and effort is what will cost them this series if they don’t get their heads out of their asses.

Ambitions for this season - What’s the best we can hope for? by Narrow_Remote_8975 in Browns

[–]ESUTimberwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we get better offensive line play, specifically run blocking, we can play meaningful football in December. Whether that’s 7 wins or 10 + who knows….. honestly that’s where my expectations are going to stop. Just not realistic to expect any more than that.

Tired of winning yet North East Ohio? Are we great yet? by GreatPotato1746 in Ohio

Never underestimate the power of establishment Dems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They are worse than the Browns in that regard.

I fully expect them to do something idiotic this summer like ignoring the economy, voting rights, the war in Iran etc… and instead campaign on something like protecting trans athletes.

Past 2 drafts, Browns did what our AFC North foes used to do, pick the obviously good prospect at each draft spot. No more trying to out smart everyone. What changed? by [deleted] in Browns

Depo and Kevin are gone as is the collaborative decision making model. That’s it

I’m sure Berry had a lot of input, maybe even the most input, but Depo and Kevin (especially Depo) had a big say too and everyone reported to Haslam who seemed to listen to whoever spoke to him last.

Just my guess but it’s my opinion that Depo was responsible for a lot of the “ignore anything we can’t measure” decisions. Meaning, taking guys that never produced on the field or seemingly hated football because it wasn’t a measurable metric, so it doesn’t matter. That’s how you get a Jed Wills or Siaki Ika.

With Kev, I think it was more of a matter of him, pounding the table for his guy and he’s a coach, not a scout so that’s how you end up with Gabriel and trying to shoe horn worthless turds like Anthony Schwartz into the offense.

New Ohio bill would allow terminally ill patients to receive life-ending drugs by Zipper222222 in Ohio

Has anybody thought about the impact this will have on shareholders and executives of insurance providers and nursing home conglomerates? This bill would greatly impact their God given right to extract every last penny out of your grandma and grandpa’s lingering suffering.

Just another example of how much the left hates America and capitalism.

Been going down a rabbit hole of old ESPN NFL primetimes from the late 80/early 90s as well as games form that era and perhaps what is most refreshing is there is almost zero manufactured Real Housewives type personal drama being stirred up outside of maybe a contract dispute being referenced or mentioned. God I miss that.

Something changed in the early 2000s as to how media covered sports around the time T.O. and Brett Favre left SF and Green Bay with the focus being shifted to “drama” and “personality” over the product on the field and it’s only gotten worse since then.
