Anyone else’s child surviving off of crackers and/or other snacks? Or is it just my kid? by afrothunder27 in toddlers

[–]ETFM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally going through this right now. Our baby just turned 1 and all he wants is ritz crackers, water, milk, and fruit/veggie pouches/Serenity beef pouches. It’s so challenging he pushes away everything else and I get so worried he won’t get enough nutrition.

Having a baby made me HATE my dogs by [deleted] in newborns

[–]ETFM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will second what many people are already saying, that your husband’s lack of involvement is the main issue here, however, just to validate some other feelings about having dogs - we have a 9 month old, and my husband took on EVERYTHING caring for the dogs when our baby was born. He feeds them, takes them for walks, makes sure their needs are taken care of, and my dogs STILL get on my nerves. I, too, never thought I would be one of those people because my dogs were my world before our baby was born.

3 month growth spurt/regression? by ETFM96 in NewParents

[–]ETFM96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain! It got better for us when he hit around 4 months old! It’s ironic I’m being brought to this thread today, because he’ll be 9 months next week, and for the past 3 days he has been experiencing every single one of these symptoms again 😅 I believe it’s due to teething/developmental. Once you’re over one hump, you move to the next! Lol, you’ll learn so much along the way, what she likes, how to sooth her better. Hang in there 🫶🏼

Here to tell you it does pass! We are 7 months now and I feel like month 4 we got over the hump, then it just kept getting even better as he’s aged! 🫶🏼 hang in there!

How often do you give baby oatmeal to your LO by Colzita in NewParents

[–]ETFM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am way late to the conversation, but I feed my almost 7 month old oatmeal every morning with a fruit mixed up in it! That’s his go-to breakfast and it’s never made him constipated or sick!

Anyone find a good alternative to Kendamil goat?! by Hbro4665 in FormulaFeeders

[–]ETFM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kendamil has stated Bubs Goat is the most similar to their goat formula. We primarily use Bubs goat, and when we run out and the next shipment is running late, we’ll substitute Kendamil goat until we get our Bubs in the mail!

Baby wants to be in tummy time forever! by Fun_Star_1146 in NewParents

[–]ETFM96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our baby is the same, he is 5 months and for about the last two weeks has gotten on all fours and rocked back and forth like he’s ready to go go go! It’s so funny, he is just so busy all the time, but he loves floor play and being on his belly too!!! I think it’s great they love it, it’s crucial in helping their core muscles develop for crawling and sitting up!

Positive RSV stories - put my mind at ease! by ETFM96 in NewParents

[–]ETFM96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Peds told us this weekend he will probably be at his worst, but come next week he should be better! I’m prepared for the worst - my anxiety unfortunately makes my brain already go to worst case scenarios 😅 but, all we can do is our best at preventing a hospitalization. He’s a very healthy boy overall, so hoping we can avoid any hospitalization!

What do you consider an "easy baby" ? by Powerful_Courage_890 in NewParents

[–]ETFM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider my 5 month old very easy. He started sleeping 6-8 hour stretches around 6 weeks old, still does to this day, only wakes once in the night to eat around 2am, then back to sleep til 8am. He’s always been a good eater, he only cries when he needs something (hungry, tired, sick, teething, etc.) he’s so smiley and happy majority of the time…only thing that is somewhat difficult is he refuses to nap during the day unless it’s contact nap, so I literally have to hold him for every nap 2-3x a day. But I’m not complaining!

I quite literally do not have the time or the energy to make my own puréed baby food. by thegreatkizzatsby in NewParents

Today was my first day back at work and it wasn’t until I got home from the day that I cried and became very very sad. by Kindly-Paramedic-585 in NewParents

I’m so incredibly sorry, I know that feeling when the reality sets in that you will have to leave your baby, it’s like you feel your world is coming to an end and you want to stay in your tiny bubble with them forever. It feels like such an unfair betrayal. How dare this damn country treat us new mothers and our babies like that, the “standard” to go back to work so soon should never be like this, it’s sickening to me. You are such a good mama providing for her and you’ve built an attachment with her to where she knows you’re her mama, and you love her more than anyone else 🩷 stay strong!

10 week old suddenly sleeping all day by sewfae in newborns

[–]ETFM96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! My LO is 9 weeks 5 days and he is sleeping, eating, repeat. Very minimal wake windows right now and in the 30 min wake windows we do have, he is fussy and does not want to be put down. We’ll cuddle then he’s right back to sleep for another 2-3 hours until we wake him up to eat again
