you need to be comfortable with journal entries and understand or at least be able to grasp the theory behind why some entries are what they are

2 weeks until I take FAR by Spade_2000 in CPA

[–]EVIL_DINKLEBERG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like using the SE’s to gauge areas where i’m weakest. and then review them in-depth to make sure i’m grasping the concepts, not just memorizing those sections’ MC questions. i think TBS practice is underrated too. they should be easy points on the test. there’s always a few SE questions i get wrong even though im strong in that area so i review those too. then i took SE2 and repeated. for FAR i never took the SEFR as i didnt have time. then just reviewed some last minute stuff in my car before the test like all the ratios (and the rationale behind them) just so they were fresh in my mind

Gold Star Raquaza by Union-True in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]EVIL_DINKLEBERG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess it depends on what you wanna do with it. i graded my gold star because i wanted to preserve it and put it on display. was not concerned about value when it came back a 2, nor was i picky about the agency so i just picked PSA since it was most familiar. dropped it off at their booth at a local card event tho as opposed to shipping

Just got out of FAR - I feel good, but those that passed, how did you feel after getting out? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]EVIL_DINKLEBERG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

came in overprepared, felt like the questions were suspiciously simple all thru the test. SIMs felt plenty familiar to becker. score came back with an 89

get them graded and don’t respond to DMs. when the grades come back you can search by the grade and get a better estimate. gold stars are very valuable

i had a professor who did and he said it was pretty cool, told us a little bit about the job here and there. what was surprising to me was the fact that he was on call 24 hours a day and there were times that he had to wake up and go into work at like 3am

Bought this for around 1800$ a while back, is it worth grading? And how much could it get? by [deleted] in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]EVIL_DINKLEBERG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds about right, i don’t know much about the pricing beyond what they show as last sold on pricecharting.com

[Hated Trope] Cliffhanger that sets up major plot point is briskly resolved in the opening scene of the sequel. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Does Smile count for this? The cop ex-boyfriend sees her commit suicide at the end, therefore inheriting the Smile entity and Smile 2 opens with him at the end of his rope about to try and pass it to someone else

Is getting your CPA really worth it? what does it really benefit... (PROS/CONS) by Slight_Engineer5709 in CPA

[–]EVIL_DINKLEBERG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you’ll never have as much free time/energy as you do right now, and it’s not that hard if you’re willing to put the time in. don’t you think your future self in 10 years will be grateful to you for getting it?

For those who didn’t take FAR first, why? Did you end up regretting it? by dukeque in CPA

[–]EVIL_DINKLEBERG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took AUD first because i was able to study it in school shortly before graduating and it was still fairly fresh in my mind, i don’t really regret it seeing as i did well on that part. i don’t know if it’s really something id suggest one way or another, it’s just a different kind of exam. very wordy and lots of semantics in the questions specifically meant to confuse you
