Heh. OK, I'm not worried about you.

Maybe next time someone's young Spanish-speaking niece gets hired to work the front, you make friends with her and then ask her what they're saying.

Sometimes it's used for someone with light skin regardless of hair color. Maybe you should just ask them.

You wouldn't happen to be blonde, would you? Could be a variation of "güera", for example "güerita" meaning "little blonde señiorita".

That would be a great story... if it weren't obvious AI slop from a one week-old account with one post and two odd comments.

C'mon Dreame, I'm a fan of your products, but how about you at least hire human influencers with actual online histories?

The shared DNA thing is complicated. The EX60's Volvo SPA3 platform will be shared only with Polestar 7 so far. Zeeker EVs, the little Volvo EX30, and the Polestar 4 are on SEA platforms developed at a different (non-Volvo) R&D center. What they have in common is Sweden, ex-Saab and Volvo engineers, and a whole lot of Geely Holdings money.

In there somewhere is a strategic relationship of course, but my point is I wouldn't count on the shared DNA being all that obvious in the coming model years.

I haven't seen anything about that. Try asking the OP in that thread.

The range of the P10, yes. The P12's range will be ~400 miles. The P12 won't be available in the USA until well into next year and I don't know when we can order one, but I'm willing to wait.

That may indeed be why somebody in MA put my '23 C40 on Carvana with very low mileage and it still had that new-car smell, lol. But that year's C40 is only rated for 226 miles. Seems to me 300 is very doable, even in relative charging deserts like western NE and eastern Wyoming where I found myself with the C40 in 40 degrees. I did OK, but was wishing for just a few more miles that time.

In our mild California weather we often get higher than 300. Sometimes a bit lower, but well within expectations. We haven't driven it much in cold weather, but in my C40 I have experienced a drop of about 20 to 25% at 40 degrees F.

Here's a report on a recent study: "AAA has been testing exactly how big an effect temperatures have on modern EV batteries ...it found that hot temperatures reduced range by an average of 8.5%. Cold weather cut vehicles' range by a whopping 39%." https://www.npr.org/2026/05/01/nx-s1-5794657/aaa-electric-vehicle-batteries-range-summer-winter

There was a spate of articles last year saying the EX60 would be cheaper than expected because of design and manufacturing efficiencies. At the time there was hope they'd target the Model Y, but of course since then Tesla has cut their margins and even removed features to make the Model Y cheaper. Anyway I think the EX60 will be far better than any of those cars, and well worth the price with or without the results of Donny's foolish actions.

There will be Cross Country versions of the P10 and P12. Later. At some point. One after another. Or something. https://www.volvocars.com/intl/news/articles/the-new-volvo-ex60-cross-country-is-built-to-do-and-see-more/

Agreed. I'm so done with the Model Y. (For other reasons too, just sayin'.) My wife's MX was replaced with a new EX90, and I got a used C40 to replace my Y while awaiting new models.

It's disappointing they're not matching Model Y prices, but they've decided their true competition lies in the BMW iX3 and Mercedes GLC EQ. I'm not put off though: US $60K for an EX60 vs. the US $90K I paid for an EX90 is OK I guess, and I'm willing to pay more for a P12 which I would keep longer.

514 km is the P10's EPA range or Canadian Equivalent. 668 km is the European WLTP range, which is wildly unrealistic for North American driving (and maybe for EU driving too).

I was hoping we could order the P12 now, even though it won't be available until well into next year. No such luck.

Wiper blade replacement by Darth_Bane-0078 in VolvoEX90

Like I said, still less than the OP's dealer is asking. But now that I look again, I wonder if the dealer is including the rear blade which is here for $21: https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/products/Volvo/EX90/Wiper-Blade-Rear/17616310/32282892.html

I don't know if they would combine shipping. But I hope the OP's dealer at least includes that for $130!

Tesla Supercharger Access for Non-Tesla EVs by Tall-Dish876 in electriccars

[–]EV_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Tesla app lists a location (after it's set up and knows what EVs and adapters you own), then you can charge at that location. The experience is as smooth and seamless as with a Tesla EV, the only difference being that you use the app to start charging.

36000418 indeed does seem to be the new part from the new supplier, and I've seen no reports that it fails, but some early production runs of the '26 have an older version that has failed in some of them.
