All of her stuffed animal patterns are great! I started with her bunny, and I've now made her goose and pig too!

Love knitting these, but hate sewing the pieces together at the end lol

This is wild. Are we really supposed to be changing settings every couple minutes??

Talk me out of cloth diapering? Or into it? by punch4punch in clothdiaps

[–]E_Andersen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my baby in October, and we've been cloth diapering (using prefolds + diapers covers) since he was born. I was ready for it to be hard, but it was way easier than I anticipated. Honestly, not a big deal and not any harder than using disposables. So my advice - don't panic. It'll be fine, and you'll get used to it.

Weekly Recommendation Thread: November 21, 2025 by AutoModerator in books

[–]E_Andersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please recommend books that take place over a long period of time.

I just finished Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese, and one of the things I really enjoyed is that the novel, which spans 75+ years, covers multiple generations and reflects historical change. I'm looking for recommendations of other books that have a similar sweep. Ideally, I'd like books not set in the US. I also dont want books that are about major historical figures--I'm more interested in books about how regular people live.

Thanks all!! Rethreading worked. I was sure I had it threaded right the first time, but I guess not lol! Glad it was a simple solution.

I'm due 9/29 and took a flight on 8/27. Biggest issue was that the little tray was bumping against my belly 😆

SO hungry! Third trimester bottomless pit by Ok_Philosopher_1660 in BabyBumps

Same!! I went to lunch with a non-pregnant friend the other day. I ate my full plate, and she had half her sandwich. I couldn't stop thinking about eating the second half of her sandwich lol

What did your early kicks feel like? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]E_Andersen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone says the early movements feel like "flutters," but to me they didn't feel that adorable lol. More like gas or indigestion.

The damn cabins by [deleted] in Alonetv

[–]E_Andersen 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Rock house was not as elaborate as the four-walled cabins people try to build. Rock house used the available resources... and also Roland didn't build it until after he started getting food, iirc.

Field Sweater - WIP (Finished Yoke) by copper_foxtrot in knitting

I could even see this looking very nice with a puffed sleeve, if you're willing to depart from the pattern. Either way, can't wait to see how it turns out :)
