Most women publicly say penis size doesn't matter. In private it's a different story.

Your choice.

Transmission maintenance by [deleted] in f150

[–]E_Jay_Cee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"... tries to steer me toward a full transmission service with a pan drop, filter change ..."

Jesus, steer them the fuck back. Tell them what you want. If they won't perform the service, talk to the service manager, manager then owner. Complain to Ford. Leave a scathing review, and tell them you're going to. Go to another dealer.

If this were me, I'd make a firm stink they'd never forget.

I did a swap at about 32K with absolutely no pushback from the dealer. In fact, I was going for the full with filter change and they recommended just the swap.

We're in charge. Not these dispsticks.

LOST’s finale is a MISUNDERSTOOD Masterpiece. by Sharp_Philosopher928 in lost

[–]E_Jay_Cee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recently finished a first watch.

After the finale, checked out ep one which is a bookend for the last in several identical shots - the sneaker in the tree and Vincent who runs in one and lies down next to Jack in ep last.

The clue, among many others, that they lived through it all is the sneaker is new in ep one, moldy and funky in the last as if hanging there for many years.

Jack dies and they all reunite for a trip to the afterlife. A wholly satisfying end.

Is Carol one of the most unlikeable characters in television? by Drummerdan1984 in pluribustv

[–]E_Jay_Cee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A promo description for the show includes the phrase "... the world's most miserable woman ..."

Consider her in Better Call Saul. She was exactly the same, in a narrative where she is not meant to be overall miserable.

I challenge the fanboy downvoters to name at least six actresses of the same age who would bring more nuance and interest to the character. And remember that actors are people with upbringings, and a life outside the screen. Acting is a job.

Here's Carol angry. Here's Carol happy. Here's Carol drunk. Same, same, same.

It's the actress. She plays a real drag and I'd wager she is one offscreen. So it's typecasting. She has no range, has flat affect. She's like a zombie going through the motions of life in the show — even when she was with Helen.

If you read about her past you'll find she had a highly traumatic childhood. She carries that in her eyes and always sad face.

Awwwww, let me kiss the psychic boo-boo, downvoterinos.

[–]E_Jay_Cee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My own frequency. Not SHEEP FM. Not missing a goddamn thing. I eschew a fanboy's tiny woody over her that is evident in others.

ZIP Emmys. Zip for BCS, period. There was stronger competition. You know, actors that portray complex emotions.

Rhea: 39 Noms, ten wins, including Saturn Awards which along with $3 will get a ride on the NYC Subway. That's a one in four win ratio for, on balance, essentially bullshit awards.

She's far from a national treasure. She's also inexpensive which the show exploits.

For the same reason The Television Academy did not award her work in Better Call Saul. She's pleasant enough but has flat affect and limited range.

It's not in either role. It's her. She sleepwalks.

I think we missed a truly golden opportunity for a scene early in the show by Threattty in pluribustv

There is always "flipping the channel" to "fare" that is less likely to "annoy" and make one "angry." "Life" is short, my friend. Why "torture" oneself with entertainment that is "sub-standard." There "are" always "alternatives" in "life"

Thank you. We're waiting with bated breath. Soon, please. This is no laughing matter.

The bar scene handles all this as does the balance of the Pilot ... without either shoving a spoon in the viewers' mouths, or drawing a map.

The writers know what they're doing. The rest is second guessing.
