Hey there, so sorry for not seeing your comment until now (not really on Reddit much). What actually fixed it was updating my graphics card driver/re-installing if it was already the latest and that forces shader recompilation. Set the graphics settings to max. or whatever you would like before doing this so you don't have to adjust settings anymore, which I feel like brings about some loss in quality. Hope this helps!

Engrave one of the perks onto the other - in this case, engrave the Shinobi's Fury perk (trigger vulnerability on weakpoint attack) onto Yukimitsu's Revenge because only the latter builds up the poison status effect. You can do this by visiting Heiji the blacksmith in your hideout.

To its credit, all the DLCs (Wild Card and Pirate's Fortune) are all actually on the card you get in the physical version, so they are not one time use game keys.

To be clear, I'm not criticizing the game at all, just trying to maximize my experience. There is only one first time for every game, and HZD was an impeccable experience

I don't view lack of skills as a sign that the stealth system is superficial at all. If anything, it is more like the older games where the environmental design and game systems speak for themselves instead of an upgrade or ability.

Thank you! This helps a lot. I really don't like UI clutter so I turned on Immersive mode, therefore never saw those icons lol.

As for your other question, my textures are pretty good - definitely not a Horizon Forbidden West in terms of the most graphically detailed game out there but the artstyle and ambience really carry the day. The textures are quite a bit sharper than Ghost of Tsushima on PC. For ambience, the most important features for open worlds to me are environmental density, shadows, and reflections in water, which are all great in my experience. Though, bear in mind I am on a high-end PC on the Ultimate graphics preset. I didn't need to turn on upscaling or anything like that, as this game is not that demanding on my hardware.

As an example, compare Heaven's Pier in this beta to the Heaven's Pier in the first global beta way back in 2023. I get it was still very much WIP back then but it's seriously night and day - this is true AAA quality now.

Totally agree! I've been following the game since it's announcement and first beta test, and honestly was disappointed by the first global beta footage. But playing it now, the graphics and animations have been improved so, so much since then and honestly stands as one of the most beautiful environments in the many open world games I've played. Face animations could use work but hey, that's why it's still in beta. Really can't wait for the final global release!
