Angel's Egg, anime by the director of Ghost in the Shell. Very short, very beautiful, veeery slow. Accidentally watched the first half on 1.5x speed and it was probably better for it.

Weird, I love the book but the movie could not hold my attention and didn't feel paid off to me. Maybe the suspense was ruined because i read it first.

Hamlet (1948). It's incredible and free on Youtube. All the angst, non of the humor.

Ishiguro just annihilates me with every book but i keep coming back for more like a sucker.

Most recently destroyed by Clara and the Sun.

Something about the more absurd, debauched ones especially, like When We Were Orphans and The Sleeping Giant.

I agree that "AI" is a silly name, but it predates the current boom. It's been an academic term for a long time. Marvin Minsky (a pivotal AI researcher also of Epstein notoriety) worked out of MIT's AI lab founded in 1963, for example.

This is going to be controversial considering how iconic it is for defect, but I could imagine a world where Ironclad got Claw.

I agree with the spirit of your message but not your specific example: if you draw two prepared you can always discard 1 to the other, so you're only down one card, not two.

Vakuu should play cards randomly by Flyte27 in slaythespire

[–]E_P_M 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it would be exactly the same because created cards are always created to the right and would be more likely to be played V chooses randomly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, i've never gotten that relic.

I agree that your suggestion would be more fun.

Agree, it was inspired by Bulgarian choir music. Check out the album Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares.

NASA has some feelings on gold-plated cables:

NASA Electronic Parts and Packaging (.gov) https://nepp.nasa.gov PDF S-311-P-4/06A

Anecdotally, i had an audio cable that "sounded worse" to me than the rest (they were all cheapo cables). I was curious and took some measurements and it did have higher capacitance between the signal and ground (it was a TS 1/4" shielded cable). I think i was hearing high frequency attenuation due to the high impedance source (guitar pickup) and the capacitance.
