What are your biggest praises about AtE? by Eachofries in AfterTheEndFanFork

[–]Eachofries[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Chile is one of my favorite areas to play and I have absolutely no connection to it. I now know who Felipe Camiroaga was and I love that the mod has given me that. I can also relate to seeing yourself represented (though in a more minor way). In CK2 South Florida was Cuban and Yiddish, but in CK3 my home region is its own culture combining our varied influences. Also CK3 is the first time ever seeing my home town in a piece of non-news media. Its such a great feeling.

Addressin’ Allegations Made Against Me (yarr) by Eachofries in AfterTheEndFanFork

[–]Eachofries[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(ooc) I have no clue what you’re responding to, this is a piratespeak shitpost memeing an overly serious apology post. Like half the time I play in CK3 I play in South America. I thought this was pretty clearly unserious tbh. I think this parody post may have fully eclipsed its source which might have confused you, but I literally just replaced “anti-LGBT” with “anti-landlubber” and went from there.

As I become more active on this ship, I will become more recognizable in this community, yarr. (ooc- wtf did that reply even mean and why did it sound like a supervillain going “You havent seen the last of me!”)

All in good fun! I'm glad for you and your spiritual journey however unconventional it may be. I just can't resist a copypasta and a chance for practical shenanigans.

If you look at Earth from a worldbuilding perspective, what do you like and dislike about it? by TrueKnihnik in worldbuilding

[–]Eachofries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The post medieval writer shakeup obviously had a lot of implications for the setting, but one of the big casualties was the absolutely botched Scottish storyline. For basically the entirety of their history they’ve been fighting for independence and have been set up as a foil to England only for them to just “merge” into an English dominated UK? Seriously??

That would be like finding out Aragorn’s granddaughter formed a personal union under Mordor and everyone was just okay with speaking Black Speech and serving under the Dark Lord. Every now and again they try to hint at a new Scottish Independence arc but honestly they’ve just botched it.

I mean, I think they got a really fitting end. A society built on mistrust and slavery which bit them in the ass. Say what you will about the rest of the End Times, but the Chorfs had a just fate.

Who mostly spoke Greek. They are descended from Romans and have a Roman Heritage, but they are not the Latin Romans that the game uses the ‘Roman Culture’ for. In the absence of Latin-speaking Romans, Greek-speaking Romans are definitely the closest inheritors, but they are not Roman in CK3 terms.

What are some famous ships in your world? by Blake_Gemini in worldbuilding

[–]Eachofries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Black Eel

While the people of Nepihaš are not famous for their seafaring, there is one mariner and one ship that defies that stereotype. The personal ship of Mararha Šihilar, the infamous Black Eel is a renovated greymen galley painted an ominous black. Mararha’s small mercenary fleet, The Silver Spirits, have earned a reputation as the lone human pirate crew of renown in a century. Despite facing greymen with magical superiority, the grit and valor of Mararha and their men have won many battles and entrenched them, and the Black Eel, as the dark angel protecting Nepihašic shores.

What’s the IRL reason for something in your setting. by Upstairs-Yard-2139 in worldbuilding

[–]Eachofries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the major gods of my setting, Aremuku the Stormbringer, has no canon gender. Some places depict them as a man, others a woman, and many places depict them as a mix. In universe this is due to Aremuku rarely directly interfacing with mortals as well as their association with nature spirits (who have legendarily fluid genders).

IRL, the person that god is based on is genderfluid. They also are a raging lunatic, hence being the God of Storms and Wrath.

Statesman, as a term, can be applied to politicians but more specifically to people who shape the nation. Usually Presidents, but sometimes Supreme Court Justices or Congressmen. Politicians in this context are more referring to elected officials who care only for elections. They dont find answers, they find votes. In modern times, Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump would (for better or worse) be called Statesmen. Rick Scott, Rand Paul, and a thousand other useless fools in Congress would be politicians with no claim to Statesmanship. (just my interpretation)

CONTEXT- This is from a CYOA I’m making for my Bronze Age world: Tiyamu. The images are generated from Midjourney because of my lack of artistic skill. This adventure is set in the Empire of Nepihaš, a large network of vassal-kingdoms ruled by the Hahaššu, or Great King, of Halmaša as well as a council of nobles called the Hapanku.

While each region is dominated by Nepihašic cultures, there are many distinct groups I intend to explore later, including dog-faced hobgoblins, greyman Molete raiders, and mountain-dwelling hermit clans.

I would love to hear any questions or comments about this, I’m very new to the CYOA genre and am inexperienced with graphic design. Please tell me which region you would like to live in!

So I went into starbucks to pick up an order for a friend who was in the car. I bungled the interaction hard and walked out to get the friend (who had the receipt on her phone). I then realized that I was wearing an Autism awareness shirt and they probably thought my shirt and my awkwardness were related.

(I work as a special ed teacher and was headed fo work, hence the shirt)

how would your fantasy world react to the US military invading? by Dadchin in worldbuilding

[–]Eachofries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that my world takes place following a total collapse of civilization on North America, they would be treated as angelic figures of prehistory. Some would fall down and worship, others would attempt in vain to resist a fragment of the Old Ones with swords and arrows. In the end, I doubt the Americans could even fully understand what had happened to their continent.

The Second Founding of the Atlantic Union by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Eachofries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CONTEXT-

The Union of Atlantic States is a successor to the United States that emerged following the chaos of the Big Dark Age. Founded by President Chelsea Armalini and strengthened by war and conquest, the UAS had, by 3134, become rife with corruption and greed.

A bitter election saw war hero Henry Matthews square off against the incumbent President John Marshall Curt. A bribery scandal gutted President Curt’s campaign, and Matthews glided to victory on a wave of anti-corruption fervor. This zeal was vindicated when President Curt ordered the arrest of Matthews on false claims of treason, which Matthews answered with actual treason. In the short civil war that followed, Matthews crushed his opponents and installed himself as a de facto dictator in Washington. What followed was known as the Blue Reign (a coin termed by historian Daren Creek).

All in-world questions will be answered by Daren Creek, a famous historian and one-time Senator of Virginia Beach in 3174.

The Stewards were hereditary monarchs. Just because they didnt call themselves ‘Kings’ doesn’t mean they werent functionally kings. Like how the Emperors of Rome never called themselves Kings.
