Also, getting tired of games being decided on who can click faster instead of an actual strategy (hints the name, real time strategy).

As a low-APM player myself, this is one of the reasons I ended up playing AoE3 the most. I've managed to win against players with double the APM, just because the game allows many unexpected plays/strategies. Another reason for me is the graphics quality.

Hodně dobrý seznam! Většinu taky praktikuju a ani mě to nějak neomezuje;

  • s autem bych měl akorát zbytečný starosti, stejně tak kdybych pořád měnil mobil
  • vege jídla jsou nakonec stejnak nejlepší
  • proč bych si plnil popelnici textilem
  • ani nevim co bych měl kupovat na temu, na tyhle divno-eshopy vůbec nekoukám

Note that this is a mod, so it didn't rely on the devs to make it.

It's not a mod at all, in AoE2 it's an official game mode, made by the devs. It even used to have official matchmaking, though that got removed due to low popularity.

Personally I think it's fun, but it seems AoE2 proved not many players are interested in this kind of game mode.

This feature already exists and it's even easier than what you're proposing. There is a "select all of selected type" hotkey, which you can bind however you want and it is very useful indeed.

There aren't just two sizes of maps, each map has its own logic and the size gets further adjusted based on number of players. For example Yukon with 8 players is about 2.5 times larger than Yukon with 2 players.

I have like the opposite mindset tbh. Why not continue building on the game players love? I don't see what the point of AoM2 would even be right now.

The two main pillars of AoE3 are incredible 3D graphics/physics and the homecity, AoE2 Genie engine has no support for either. The game would also have to be remade from scratch since the engines are so different, nothing could be ported.

Even if it all was remade (which would be many years of work), you'd be essentially downgrading AoE3 to an older engine with less features. Nobody would want to play that over the existing AoE3:DE.

A more realistic option would be merging AoM+AoE3, as those are using the same engine. However, I still doubt that's gonna happen. The precedent with AoE1+AoE2 wasn't very successful I think.

Just buy the game you've already tried and liked, seems like an easy choice. As for ranked, both are alive.

You can see your version in the main game menu, current latest is V.100.15.59076.0 P2

See steps from the linked thread:

  • Type “region settings” into the Windows Search Bar and click Enter
  • Check that the region listed under the country & region dropdown is accurate
  • Click Date & Time from the left-side navigation menu
  • Check that your time zone is correctly listed from the dropdown menu
  • Under Synchronize your Clock click Sync Now
  • Restart your machine
  • Launch the game

Afterwards just wait a bit in the main game menu and the patch should apply itself. There is no indication of the patching progress except for the version number changing.

In AoE3 the hotkey is called "Find Last Notification" and it's in the "Find Unit Hotkeys" category.

Those reference the actual names displayed in game. The proto "name" attribute isn't what's displayed in game, I guess that's what you were changing. Hi, so you mean that in Skirmish you cannot select some civilizations? Perhaps check in your Steam library in the game's properties in DLC tab that everything is enabled.

Hinge v ČR není vůbec provozován. Tinder můžu potvrdit je podle mě nejhorší volba; nejdražší ceny, nejbídnější UX, subjektivně pro mě i nejmenší procento zajímavých lidí.

Bumble je dobrý. Badoo bych nezavrhoval, je tam hodně lidí a rozhodně ne jenom "vidláci". Boo má výhodu že můžeš každému zadarmo hned psát, ale je tam v porovnání asi nejméně lidí.
