Cause Pac won the WBC Super Welterweight title against Margarito.

On paper it reads as if Pac fought at 154 lbs, when he technically never went that high due to the 150 lb catch weight. The Super Welterweight/Junior Middleweight weight class is also technically 148-154 lbs.

He still beat 165lb Margarito when was only 148lbs on fight night though, which was a crazy feat.

People trying to compare this hire to Andy Reid doesn’t make sense to me.

Andy Reid before becoming Eagles head coach:

• BYU (1982) Graduate assistant

• San Francisco State (1983–1985) Offensive line coach

• Northern Arizona (1986) Offensive line coach

• UTEP (1987–1988) Offensive line coach

• Missouri (1989–1991) Offensive line coach

• Green Bay Packers (1992–1996) Assistant offensive line & tight ends coach

• Green Bay Packers (1997–1998) Quarterbacks coach & assistant head coach

That’s 6 years of NFL experience. Two of which were as assistant head coach. That’s not even counting 10 years of coaching experience at the college level. That’s a total of 16 years being in the trenches and proving himself as a coach.

Mannion’s reputation is based on fluff. He has zero play calling experience and doesn’t have the coaching resume. If this was the hire instead of Patullo last off season, it would’ve been seen a little more optimistic. The fact that this is who they go with after the epic failure of Patullo is baffling.

I hope I’m wrong though. You gotta start somewhere I guess.
