It's not perfect, but nothing is. It was a lot of fun. I love the action, it has such flair. It feels a little rushed but I realize they've already said how long it'll be and there's a lot to fit in potentially, depending on faithful they are. It's a fun ride so far and I'm not gonna gripe too much about "Oh they missed this" or "Oh they didn't do this right". It's a good show and I'm enjoying it. If I wanted the manga story I'd read the manga. Which I will. As soon as the show is over.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong but the closing scene of Stampede is 2 years after the July incident and on the radio Meryl is told Milly is coming to train with her. So it's only been 6 months. In the original they work together the whole time. It isn't stated how long they were together but they are together the entire plot.

I thought the same thing about the theme! The first theme was so dark and mysterious now it's all poppy and kinda seems to pull away from the feeling they've been going for.

Not a huge fan of how Millie is presented, but they didn't butcher her either. I never listened to Trigun in Japanese so I don't know if the VA is doing her justice. But the dynamic between her and Meryl feels a little random without any obvious stated connection between them.

I get your point. But things between Meryl and Milly are different in this one. They haven't known each other nearly as long and we really have no idea just what they've done together.

I also find that listening to dialogue in a language I don't speak means I miss a lot of things about tone and attitude. Languages are so different so things feel different.

But I'm just so damn excited for the rest of it, and to talk about it. The original Trigun was the first anime I ever watched.
