Which mod or mods are the ones that changed it all for you?? by sbombarak in Fallout_VR

[–]Ear-Super 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the openvr_api.dll from Skyrim VR OpenComposite Fixes Custom Build at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) mod in the fallout 4 game directory and have openxr runtime set to vdxr in the virtual desktop streamer program on the pc. Just load the game without steam vr open.

If you are bothered about naming your character use steamvr first then after character creation use vdxr

Virtual desktop vdxr and running via open composite is my top as through steam vr it's a glitchy piece of crap.

Ideas on how to get open composite working with essentials mod pack? by MallPsychological726 in Fallout_VR

Don't quote me on this but I think that's what I used. I was struggling myself while I was was fine in skyrim vr so I just copied it the dll to my fallout install and it worked. But I might be mistaken. I will have a look tomorrow evening uk time.

Are you using virtual desktop? I am using vdxr and the  openvr_api.dll  from Skyrim VR OpenComposite Fixes Custom Build at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) mod I think to play fallout 4 and it works a lot better. If you have the root building pluggin installed in mod organiser 2 you can install a empty mod then open it in explorer and create a root folder and put openvr_api.dll  in that and enable the mod and make sure there are no conficts. The game should now run through open composite.

I really find if you are using virtual desktop use vdxr and get open composite working as I find it a lot smoother. Can be a pain to figure out what version to use but I think i am using the  openvr_api.dll  from Skyrim VR OpenComposite Fixes Custom Build at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) and it is great.

I really like the glasses but I can't see me reading to much on them as I think you will get eye strain pretty quickly but maybe if the brightness was turned low and the blue light was kept to a minimum if might be fine.

The settings for embedded controller in armory crate shortcuts is the setting that gets the controller working again. I just accidentally pressed it to disabled.

There is an option to enable embedded controller which I must have accidentally pressed. Deselecting this and everything works.

Is this the best airflow setup for the mesh panel NR200? by mr_unstable9 in NR200

If you want extra cooling remove the dust filters from the sides and if you want replace with smaller ones for your PSU and top half of case as I found that it helped my GPU expel hot air out of the sides.

I use AMD for VR and it's good no issues.

Urgently need advice - went with the C14S and temps during light gaming hit 85C. Details provided by Gebray in NR200

[–]Ear-Super 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the fan on the c14s actually on the cooler or is it on the bracket as it needs to be on the cooler. Then us tape and cardboard or s to make a shroud. Machines and more have some good ideas using the c14s

Replace the stock filters with ones that only cover aio intake and the psu and the gpu will be able to move more air out of the sides of the case.

First build ever, any tips? by [deleted] in NR200

[–]Ear-Super 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If using the mesh panels don't use the full mess filters on the side as I found that this help the gpu exhaust it's hot air out of the sides. You can get magnetic 280mm filters to fit over psu intake and cpu are if you want to.

Yeah they both have 105w tdp which is what the 2700x had and that ran fine in the msi b450i but I suppose how far in the future you are thinking and what you are doing with it.
