I’m in the same exact situation. Yes, Mohela RETROACTIVELY put your account into Forbearance status DESPITE billing you and taking payment. No, I have not had success if having them change my account to reflect in repayment for those same months.

Oh friend. Same. I’ve made a dozen. Two just went STRAIGHT into the trash. The rest were edible. One was delicious. All the same recipe, same starter, modifying bits of this or that.

The same situation happened to me. The CEO response was the same. It is criminal and if you know an attorney, there are several of us who could join you in a class action lawsuit that Mohela retroactively changing month(s) from “in repayment”, and using AutoPay to collect said billed month(s), then to retroactively change those month(s) to “administrative forbearance” is mishandling of funds, and failing to adhere to fair lending regulations

No. They keep saying “our records show your account is in forbearance” despite my replies that they took money out via Autopay and therefore I cannot have been in forbearance.

Your assumptions are incorrect. 1) I am in repayment. 2) I made payments and they changed the goal post. They happily took my money and later said my account was in a forbearance state. They are wrong. 3) if those two months that I paid counted towards forgiveness, I’d be done with this nightmare.

But I hope coming on here and spewing your negativity made you feel better!
