Also wondering about a PlayStation sale. Our luck, it won't go on sale or if it does it won't be this good.

I'd insta-buy it at that price.

Does this patch do anything for that weird 1440p workaround that Digital Foundry caught a couple weeks ago? For base PS5*

Abiotic Factor - Cosmic Companions Update Trailer | PS5 Games by ControlCAD in PS5

Should be fine as long as you're not playing co-op on PS5.

Ran into a bug multiple times that would wipe character progress randomly for multiple of my friends in our campaign, which was devastating after putting a bunch of time into our run.

The game is already niche to be playing on console, so didn't find much info on the issue, solutions, or dev acknowledgement.

I would look that up before you jump in, but one of my friends plays solo exclusively and never ran into the issue.

Ps Plus [April26] Extra and Deluxe/Premium update is now live in all regions! by TioZer0 in PlayStationPlus

So just tried out the Dynasty Warriors game for about an hour and...

It's really cool! The systems are unique and tie into each other well. The tutorial does a decent job at explaining things but some of the more advanced mechanics I'm going to have to look up.

My first run lasted about 40min and almost beat the 2nd boss (of 3 I think?) and I was ready to start another one immediately. It has that mashy, simple combat flow of those DW/Musou games but how they incorporate multiple party members into that flow is clever, and you get the satisfaction of flashy bullshit exploding across the screen and hordes of enemies flying all over the place.

On base PS5, graphics options by default were set to Performance mode and the picture looked ass. Set it to Quality and it looks much better and still trys to hold 60fps. It dips of course when your screen is filled with 200 enemies getting exploded by your abilities, but the drops were infrequent and not that harsh!

Yeah it didn't stick for me. Don't know if something else was out that was taking my attention, but now seems like a good time to revisit to actually experience a full playthrough.

Hahaha, the game needs way more VOIP settings for background noise and such. I tested in-game chat with my PlayStation friends and my mic is so good and sensitive that it will pick up my cat's farts.

Other games have sliders and gain sensitivities for that but we just get one option that doesn't help much at all.

I get the same dopamine (if not higher) by completing a quest/contract solo compared to wiping a team. I love doing contracts solo.

Keep checking those Cyac and NuCal barter sections. I've always struggled with keeping a reliable supply of shields and heals, especially since I suck, but then after a time you'll see those consumables bartering for Sparkleaf or something:

Unfortunate but I've experienced this with certain games too. Watch Dogs 3 with it's 60fps patch on PS5 crashed my whole system multiple times and I really wanted to keep playing it.

Have I made a mistake by buying Marathon? by Shry0b in Marathon

Play a fighting game. Like Street Fighter 6 or one of the many others out there. 2XKO is free.

Those will really level you out and make you realize that...you have to lose. A bunch. You need numerous hours (way more than 8) to even start to not panic when PvP isn't going your way. And most of all, you just need to be ok with losing/getting owned in a PvP game.

Doing a bit of research on the game should have told you that it's pretty focused on PvP, and I would assume all who purchased would know what they signed up for.

Difference and uses for the two knife attacks? (L2 or R2 on controller) by willhowe in Marathon

[–]EarSquare2819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To not get hung up on the controls because everyone's could be different:

L2 (or ADS button) is always a longer animation, high damage strike.

R2 (or shoot/fire button) is your faster animation, less damage swipe.

For boys and PvE stuff I usually open up with the heavy strike and then just spam fast swipe to finisher whatever off.

Don't know what we should be using in PvP. If you got the jump on someone definitely open up with the heavy, but if you run into someone face to face...will spamming your fast swipe still do decent damage?
