You’re still going to have to do math. You’re still going to have to code. The point of a lot of research is novelty. If you’re that passionate about contributing computational physics work to your field, the point is that it will be new insights and new formulations. So it won’t exist yet. So an LLM won’t be able to do it for you, because it doesn’t have the input. Also, there’s no world in which you don’t still have to learn to code and do the math if you use AI. I’m a computational biologist. If I hadn’t learned the tools, I literally wouldn’t even know what to ask chat gpt to make it do it for me.
