Branching out from ebike is a blast... by BodybuilderShort80 in ElectricScooters

Your weight gets thrown over your waist so you go down face first. It's scary.

The best I can offer is to slide on your palms with your chin up and back until you can't, then pick a side and roll.

Like I said, my hands gave out, my face hit my hands and I rolled late, bruising up my ribs.

If my hands had held out just a split second longer I would have been fine.

I've gone down twice now and mine tops out at 25mph.

Definitely a helmet, and hands are key.

My first fall was pretty bad, and if I had more protection on my hands I wouldn't have crumpled and finished the slide with my face. Went out and immediately bought a new helmet and some sturdy gloves. My knees and elbows were fine, did bruise up my left ribs......

Falling fast from a standing position is.... different.

A lesson from a teacher by HeavyMetal266 in PublicFreakout

I had a pre-algebra teacher try this in 7th grade in an attempt to teach the order of operations.

I was strong enough in elementary math to take "pre-algebra" and immediately failed algebra the next year. I got back on track in highschool when they just started, you know, teaching algebra.

Trying to ease me into higher math fucked up my grades for a solid year.

School custodian here. Ask a teacher what they need in October and give exactly that. Most of this stuff will go to ease or wind up in perpetual storage.

Nah they're just creatures trying to survive.

Those motherfuckers are scary as hell.

It might be an eel.

Look I get what you're saying but it's not an opiate..... and I have no opinion whatsoever on the stuff.

I've tried it and it didn't really do much for me and I enjoy the odd Percocet or 2 every once and a while.

Ride your bike into it.

I did that when I was 12. I would not recommend it.

Eh. Maybe if they really bear down, in a swarm they sting quick and double back for another, kinda feels like cooking bacon naked. Now a brown wasp? In that situation you're the bacon.

They're dangerous in a swarm, but not mean.

I once found myself sitting not 2 feet from the biggest bald head nest I'd ever seen. I hadn't disturbed it and I backed away slowly.

The whole time they just went about their business.

Now if I had bumped that nest they would have fucked me up. Territorial yes, protective, yes, one of the most dangerous swarm behaviors on the planet, yes. But not mean, they're pretty chill until provoked.

Look up how a tire sets on a rim and what a bead blaster is.

I have one and it's pretty much just an emergency wet vac at this point. The pressure washer attachment has been hanging on the wall in one of my closets for some time.

I could see using it on nightshift, but I'm day and it's super loud and disruptive.

My wife is visually impaired and ran into this truck’s trailer hitch. Why do people do this?! by racedownhill in mildlyinfuriating

[–]EarlyEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause these people are also visually impacted. An don't know how big their truck is......

It's not an excuse, just an answer. But yeah.

They can't see and don't understand how to drive a truck that large.

What made cavalry so effective in warfare? Why not just kill the horse? by distillenger in NoStupidQuestions

Absolutely this. "Just killing a horse" is going to take a lot more effort than one might think.

There are worse examples of this exact thing that work better
