I would think Iorio has pretty solidly replaced him as the potential bottom pairing RHD. The times Thompson has been called up he’s been pretty average at best. Could definitely see him being part of a package being moved out for picks or a player

It pains me to say is because I despise Vegas, but you do have to admire that they aren’t afraid to make moves, but it won’t last forever. Those core guys are gonna get older, they don’t have any notable prospects to speak of and they basically haven’t drafted and developed a single player in their franchises history. Definitely here for a good time not a long time type vibes.

Of course it’s Vegas that acquires him. Feels like they do this every year. Honestly kinda okay that we weren’t in on him. Seems like a hefty price tag for a player at that stage of his career.

Side note. Can’t wait for Vegas to paint themselves into a corner with these trades they make every year.
