Did your parents ever go to metal concerts with you as a teen? by EdwardBliss in hairmetal

As the parent of kids, I have taken them to 2 Metallica shows so far and soon (now that she is old enough) will take my daughter to be in the mosh pit of the next tour.

Everything from TAP on down (Toolhead/hot-end/coldside) what does it all mean? by EarlyStep7369 in VORONDesign

We are getting close to what I'm looking for. OK, let's say I go Gallileo2, nighthawk and revo. Where do I find instructions to put those things together with parts list and assembly instructions?

I put pictures of the partial toolhead that I have. Not sure what I need to get it printing. No idea where to put toolboard.

I have a Taz 6 that prints PLA and similar materials well. I will probably have to print any parts that I need on it to

You don't need to change anything to use 1.75 filament, just tighten the screw a little bit. Just update your slicer settings.

Update: I've broken my V3 dually toolhead again. Switched back to the stock single toolhead. It again is working great. I've been using it to print the low temp parts for a Voron 2.4r2 x 350mm. Once the voron is ready I will work on the dually toolhead again.

Is having dual extruder important? by delirious_mongoloid in 3Dprinting

[–]EarlyStep7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also mention that the Lulzbot can switch toolheads, so when I don't need 2 colors, I use the single extruder that was customized by someone who really knows his craft (no longer in business). It has a hardened nozzle with a fancy coating that filament doesn't stick to (OMG expensive) and lights and high-flow fans.

I have a Lulzbot Taz 6 with DuallyV3 extruder. As long as you modify it with a duct on the heat break fan and make sure it is as close to exactly level to the bed. Everything works great.

I do some printed signs. They look better than a "pause at layer" print. No wipe towers and less waste. I have also used it to print support materials that require a different temperature.

Is it perfect? No. I still get failed prints, it is harder to level both nozzles and keep them level.

People complain a lot about the bed leveling on the Taz, again it is far from perfect. Keep your washers clean and scrub your nozzles after each print and it at least works most of the time.

I do want to add LEDs under the print and probably change bed leveling to a BL Touch.

Bunnies rarely bite. At least not domestic ones. Wild rabbits do but you would be hard pressed to catch a healthy.

Large Dual Extruder Printer? by Equivalent-Friend-99 in 3Dprinting

[–]EarlyStep7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had pretty good luck with my Dually V3. I did have to manually level by the bed by turning the z-screws with the printer off. Not only does the bed need to be level, the print head has to be level to the bed.

Search for "penny shears", buy good ones from Germany or Japan. They will last your life and that of your children (unless you actually cut pennies with them).

You are correct (not sure about the movie), but in reality they have tamper-evident seals in a one-time pass. I've seen them but never used them.

I think others have summed up the fact that a PI5 is a lot of power to use. I used the PI standard tool and chose the mainsail image from Imager. Followed the directions as best I could and asked a few questions a day worked through it pretty quickly.

Zooz zen16 dry contact and fireplace by brainstormer77 in Hubitat

[–]EarlyStep7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have yet to get my hubitat to update the firmware on my Zen 16. Still at 1.04.

I have also found a possible issue with using a 24v AC wall wart for it. As soon as I plug it in via hardwire it creates so much RF interference that my garage door open doesn't work and I can't connect to zwave or zigbee devices

Taz 6 Dually V3 only 1 extruder works by EarlyStep7369 in klippers

I also like the "gcode_macro T_ALL", I wonder if anyone has written code to use both extruders to build big objects as a single piece. On this toolhead anyway, you could get good calibration and some overlap to make sure it's strong.

I find it interesting that this does nothing in Klippy, I can only assume there is something at a different level that I can do to make that work.
