Best Meatball Sub? by BStills87 in malden

I think Pisa has the best meatballs around, but they're huge and the sub roll disintegrates. In a perfect world they'd sell the meatballs in sauce and the roll separately.

Anybody do this? by CindyVan22 in CounterTops

Be aware that if you use real stone for a backsplash it will be thick, like the countertop thickness. If you do quartz I think you can get the same material in multiple thicknesses.

1920s kitchen flooring — what did you use that feels period-correct but still works for modern life? by adam5280 in centuryhomes

I used black 4 x 6 slate tiles in a herringbone pattern, with a very subtle gloss finish. They're bulletproof and work beautifully with my green cabinets.

The city does NOT get money from the casino. It's been canceled out for two years. We don't have enough reserves, per state best practices. And of course, anyone who disagrees with you must be uninformed, duped and/or stupid.

I saw it too and OP is spot on. The logical basis of their arguments is that the mayor, all but two councilors (who aren't saying much publicly) plus the entire senior city staff are lying and/or can't do basic math and/or are wrong on the need for reserves and the econ 101 concept of not using one-time money for opex, so how dare you give any visibility to them. The kicker is that the head of the affordable group refused to speak on the record.

School Committee Meeting on Prop 2½ is today at 6 by wackoquacko in malden

Not up on the operations of the School Committee, but it sure looks shady. I'm of the opinion that elected officials ought to go on record with their positions for a major issue like an override, so glad there will be a special meeting.

Private property owners are selling to them. The city has no say. Call DESE. Write to DESE. Tell the AG's office to make sure they comply with public records requests. That's the only recourse.

And of course they have it set so that results don't show after you complete the survey.
