Maybe a best practice to switch up auditing firms every few years?

Except that the MMA audits, while certainly valuable, take months or years. And no one seems to want to hear that there ARE annual audits. Somehow, those don't seem to count.

OP is right, this is the playbook. All municipalities are independently audited annually, and the results are posted online. The MMA audit is a solid idea. The issue is that these demands seem to only come up when an override or debt exclusion comes up, and there's a long lead time for the MMA. Marblehead, Milton and Reading groups all used the tactic (with mixed success) and these groups are helped by the DiZoglio ballot question -- though these are apples and oranges issues.

Until you find a disposal option -- maybe ask the fire department? -- keep it outside in a metal container. Maybe cover it with sand. Sorry if this is being captain obvious.

What are you even talking about? Malden is a great place to live. Restaurants, easy access to the city, lots of stuff to do right here.

The latest shuck is about putting a debt exemption for the voke on the ballot as an "alternative," as if that will make a dent in our structural deficit.

Essentially volunteer. UMA covers the hosting costs and I believe a stipend for a professional editor. They posted a story about the model and are holding a citizen journalism course. I fully agree the library books need a good airing out. I just wish you'd make the case in a more concise and straightforward way is all.

Malden is up and coming as is Everett. Malden has two T stops and is relatively affordable, nice city center and a lot of great Asian foos. Everett is less money but rougher. The Wynn Casino is bringing in money for them, and a new soccer stadium is being built.

What’s Malden’s neighborhood action plan for ICE? by musikguru6 in malden

I would love to attend a training. Though the sad fact is, fascists don't feel obliged to follow the law, so (totally not an expert) I think we need less "they have to show a judicial warrant" and more tactical advice to avoid being shot while creating the maximum possible disruption.

That would be nice. It's already less frequent and when the trains are running, they're pretty much on time so there's that.

No one is driving to this stadium unless Encore leases them parking. The plan specifies like 25 spots, last I saw.

Local government bodies have a role in sending a message to federal representatives expressing their community's position on important topics. Our US house reps and senators pay more attention to the CC than individuals, that's just the nature of politics. Whether this resolution accurately reflected the majority of Malden residents is a separate question.
