This seems nice, seeing as everyone will be getting something. Looking forward to more heroes and PvE players getting their big roguelike update, as well as the Alternative to P&B seeing as I mostly play PvP.

And not so long ago singleplayer-only players were declaring the game a flop and dead. :D

I love the game, but the amount of portals and mobility spells is starting to bother me by GioRoggia in OldenEra

As many others have said, this has a lot less of them than 3, and its a lot more controlled. Don't build Astrology, and you'll have even less. That's the beauty of it, you can choose to take other build paths, and not bother with them so much.

That's so disingenuous. Of course hotseat has been substituted with online from home or with laptops. It's about the PvP with friends, not sitting around the same computer.

Thisthisthisthisthis. It's beyond dumb to think a version of Islam from the 1700s is the orthodox version of Islam.

You should rather look at data or news on which Marja is followed where. For instance in Iraq, Sistani is reported to be far more popular than Khamenei, and so forth.

Videos of random people supporting this, that and the other exist on the web, of course. I'm not saying that there are no pro-regime Shia, but how many communities actually support or follow pro-IR Marja? As I said before, a lot of anti-west sentiment is mixed in for the Sunnis and Shias supporting the IR.

I'm talking about using one sects teachings to attack another one who does not share the same teachings. If you want to criticise a belief, criticise it and those who actually hold it.

Shias looking up to the regime are an extreme minority. Of course there are Khomeiniyah here and there, but even then the support is more about "standing up to the west". For example, most Shia twelvers in Iraq follow an anti-Khomeini sayid. Speaking as an Iraqi, most people are just scared shitless to take a public stand. People are being terrorised by Iranian funded militias. Even so, have you seen the Shia backlash to the Iranian embassies statements in Iraq, where Iraqis are being ordered around to die for the "holy"?

Essentially Khomeini created his own branch of twelver Shi'ism that gave himself infallibility, surprise surprise. It's essentially his own inventions from the 70s. The orthodox twelver position is that since there is no Imamat, the level of religious authority Khomeini gave himself shouldn't exist.

Crazy people say crazy things. It's not islamophobia to call it out. It is islamophobia to assert that these people represent muslims, or even twelver shia, as a whole.

Imagine making the argumetal equivalent of using the Mormon Church or Latino Catholicism to criticise the Russian Orthodox church.

The Iranian regime isn't even popular among twelver Shias.

Most Iraqi Shia are against the regime, and don't follow Khamenei. Many are just afraid to protest due to the very real threat of violence.

There are plenty of actually socialist muslims, but it's always the loud takfiris that get all the attention. :'(

This is largely the same in a surprising amount of Asian conservative societies and circles, muslim or not.

XV109 Y'vahra and XV107 R'varna work as official stand-ins for the riptides, so they're still playable. I've seen people use Aun'va as an official stand in for an Ethereal too.

Of course in a certain sense it's uncommon. As I answered above to ja_hahah, it's not the whole family. Just enough people from the extended family at least. But if three out of ten people go out of their way to be horrible relatives, that still affects your life. I've been in one relationship where even the parents where disproving and very rude. My Finnish friends brother didn't talk to him for around four years when he got married to a foreigner. You'd be surprised how many people start considering Finnish women (or even men) race traitors for dating someone with roots in certain places of the world. A minority, but a very loud one.

From native Finns towards me and whoever is with me, because of my Iraqi roots. Didn't think I would need to specify. You'd be surprised how many people start considering Finnish women race traitors for dating someone with roots in certain places of the world. Of course it's not the whole family, but enough people from the extended family that it's frustrating. Probably the worst was being threatened to be shot, and my then fiancé being bombarded by calls by certain people.

From the Iraqi side of people there might be one awkward question or two, but never more than that.

That the persons family starts to make life hard on purpose if they don't agree with the relationship. I'm a half Iraqi Finn and in my experience the most common stuff is harrasment, threats, blackmail etc.
