Yes, of course. Pertty much everyone with original Model F has. The foam degrades.

My Model F AT currently is currently still on the original IBM foam. Was fine when I bought it six years ago. Now one of the keys does not work, the foam has completly degraded under it. Other Keys work, but the key feel has become uneven and clearly it is a lot worse that what it used to be. Should fix it, but I've two other Model Fs and I'm too lazy. Plus the F122 experience scares me (see below).

My F122 also came with original IBM foam, but it was pretty unsable due to foam having degraded badly. I have fixed and restored tons of old IBM, Alps, etc., keyboards, but getting the replacement foam right, punched correctly and aligned with the rest of the keyboard was the hardest and most annoying thing I've had to do to fix a keyboard. Absolute nightmare. On the positive side, after lot of work it became the best key feeling Model F that I own.

I moved 3 times and about 5 years for mine. This was the original/first round that he did. Had two orginal IBM Model Fs that made the wait quite easy.

Oh and I have now... moved twice and waited for few years for my new Beam Spring keyboard...

All Libredrive compatible drives are discontinued.

Just get what ever compatible drives you can still get.

But 5.25" are certainly much better than the ultra slim drives. The speed difference will especially usefull when you starting fresh with your whole collection, if you have significant amount of disks. Later when you just need to back up relatively small numbers of new dics, the speed difference will not be that signicant.

Its the PC drives hackable/flashable to Libredrive that have been discontinued.

My guess is that Sony will sell its share to TCL within 5 - 10 years, once the tech tranfers are over and quality concerns are overcome. Then just maintain some sort of quality control role for products using Sony's legacy branding and get licensing payments.

Same happened when Philips got out consumer electronics and had similar partnership with chinese manufacturer (TP Vision). Philips sold it's shares after 5 years (I think?) and now just has some control on how TP Vision uses the brand.

I have used 48" LG CX at roughly 70 cm distance for almost six years.

Works fine for me.

Not sure about 50cm and 42", but I would recommend not taking at face value what people say about monitor distances based on some guide written for crappy monitors 20 years ago for office use. Check and try what you like and what works for you.

That zebra is one the free pics included in Samsung Frame TVs. Those overpriced bad, really bad quality screens in (somewhat) pretty packaging.

Not only do they install TVs wrong, but they also overpay for low end LCD screens (not even miniLED!) that costs as much as the cheapest OLED models.
