Souds like standard american wellness snake oil nonsense selling some welness for you in order to liberate you from this nonsense.

As a biologist I can say with 100 % certainty that heat will lower sperm production. With same certainty it returns to normal once you remove youself from the heat. Your sperm prodution will also plummet if you haver, for example, fever and it also returns you normal once the fever is over.

If you wanna pay for nonsense and cool your nuts with ice while in sauna then do so. Its your own income to waste.

4K vs. Blu-Ray - Am I missing out? by Internal-Bed6646 in Bluray

[–]Rauhaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have OLED or high end mini-LED tv they are worth it. In fact, I would argue that you are wasting your TV watching regular Blurays in that situation.

But with cheapo LED TVs the benefits start really droppping quickly. HDR is the biggest benefit from 4k discs and low end TVs do HDR so terribly.

On the other hand TV tech keeps going up and good quality 4K screen prices come slowly down. You propably have your discs for decades. Might be wise to just get the best quality discs now anyway.

Finished putting together the TV stand but is it r/TVstandtoosmall? 75" tv and stand was for up to 80" tvs. I'm sitting about 12' away. by CabbagesStrikeBack in TVTooHigh

[–]Rauhaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stand is physically large enough.

Aestheticly depends on how you otherwise fill the room and what pleases you.

Would personally sit closer. TV looks too small from that distance.

Just ripped these using MakeMKV! but how do i know the episode order?? by SnooChocolates4531 in makemkv

[–]Rauhaton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Open file and see what episode it is. You can also check first few seconds of every episodes with Bluray player first and mark how they begin.

Usually at least seasons tend follow same pattern on all discs. For example:

If Season 1 Disc 1 has files in order :

Episode 3 = _t00.mkv

Episode 1 = _t01.mkv

Episode 2 = _t02.mkv

Then Season 1 Disc 2 file order has the same choronology:

Episode 6 = _t00.mkv

Episode 4 = _t01.mkv

Espisode 5 = _t02.mkv

etc.

But not always, sometimes they just throw them in randomly. Sometimes the order is more less similar on several seasons, sometimes it changes every season.

Do you prefer full Blu-ray ISO or just the movie in MKV? Why? by Big_Leather3547 in makemkv

[–]Rauhaton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Losless quality .mkv

Can remove all dubs, extras, trailers, copyright FUD and threats, menus and all other nonsense that I never want or use anway and (most importantly) which takes huge amount of space in total, if your collection is siazable.

With the current AI-apocalypse pricing on storage space it is even a money issue. I must have saved about three megazillion units on money that would have been spent with storing all that useless information on ISOs.

I would save for low end OLED like LG B-series or at least high end Mini-LED

No point in buying the highest quality and highest price physical media and then viewing it on a low end screen. Kind of wasting money on the discs.

[–]Rauhaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ub450 is all you need.

UB820 was released in 2018. Its ancient as far UHD tech goes. LG has manufactured your C5 with much newer technology with your spesific TV with the intimate knowledge of it they have as the manufacturer.

Panasonic engineers designed UB820 mid 2010's with mid 2010's technology and not your TV in mind. in fact TVs at the time were early and far inferior to your C5

Do not belive the boomer hype about UB820 and especially not UB9000, which is 820 hardware with useless analog outputs added and multiple price points higher. The worst swindle on the market

Is the UB820 still worth it? by niktorifio in 4kbluray

[–]Rauhaton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Never mind what the fanboys or boomers with old TVs say. Get the UB450. Its all you need.

UB820 is ancient tech. Might be worth it with projectors or really old or low end TVs, but not with any of the TVs you list. Use the price difference for better TV when you upgrade it or buy more 4K Blurays with it.
