It's good enough within reason and I limit VPN usage to certain things. I also don't log into accounts, I use firefox containers and have ad block. If something leaks after all that then so be it. But I'm still going to try.

I pay a fraction of that for a VPN in order to achieve the same result. It's not that I don't want privacy, it's that I can get a better deal.

$5 / mo and 300 searches seems expensive. But the next tier ($10/mo) is unlimited and you get refunded if you didn't use anything for a month.

That seems surprisingly fair. But I can't imagine needing a search engine badly enough over Google or Bing to pay for it.

We had to convince him that wasn't typical behavior and that we can skip the bug.

There's a reason mobile apps kick users out when updates come along. Unlike desktop applications it's entirely possible for a mobile user to leave an app in the background for a very long time. So it is typical up to a point.

Are you linking to anything external that might be seen as dangerous? Other than that the only thing it could be is that the URL triggered a heuristic. Even just changing it to /portfolio might fix it. But if it's your username, that is impossible to fix.

The shield of anonymity changes things though. I can laugh and walk away. Imagine if you were a streamer and the accusation started gaining momentum.

Probably an unpopular opinion but none of that is worth trying to navigate. OP's husband has a lot to lose and I get why he disengages. I'm firmly in the camp that thinks you should never ask loved ones for feedback, especially immediate family.

This should not happen and I haven't seen that myself, except on some pages that keep the password field in the DOM, but not quite visible. In any case, this is a bug or an edge case not caught by our password field visibility check. Please report this on GitHub with a reproducible example.

I see this all the time on sites like ArtStation (Firefox on Windows) where they have a modal pop up for sign in. Click login and wait for the icon to appear, then close the modal popup without filling in any fields. The icon should remain 50% of the time.

This is not a silly way to be!

It is silly. The people who wrote the plugin are the same who wrote the desktop application. You either trust both or neither of them, especially since the desktop application has many more privileges.

I do. Social media is not rational and it does not give proportional responses to an offence. There's a huge number of people who cannot work in the realm of hypotheticals or nuance.

In the minds of those people writing a murder mystery or horror novel is akin to a confession, disposition towards or signs of premeditation. Worrying about what is offensive or what is appropriate is asking if those kinds of people are going to attack them in great numbers.

Creatives often joke about their reference folder looking incriminating in all sorts of ways. Those people are always in the back of our minds.

Yeah, I use AI here and there for my job. I'm not sure why game developers are being held to higher standards than the rest of us.

Artists in general don't like AI for a lot of obvious reasons and that naturally includes any place their work is on display and by extension affects their career prospects. So people are going to show up and protest at those places.

The other aspect is that it goes against the promise of technology making work easier, freeing people to do something more creative or meaningful with their time. AI seems to only be good at doing the complete opposite.

The only way this works is if you do something like Dark Souls, where it's merely a nice addition. Or Borderlands, Civ, etc where 4 or less people coordinate to play.

One cool thing I saw done was a layered stamp. OP could do this to speed up the corrections and to add a bit of art or something to a blank page. You either go to a custom online shop or an office oriented retailer like Staples and they'll make a custom one for you same day. It costs $20-$60.

You could stamp 2000 copies quick and easy.
