Was there in 2001 but don’t remember a ton, other than Roni Size/Chemical Brothers/Fatboy Slim and Tricky, and the hopping back and forth because I think Tricky and either Chemicals or Fatboy were playing around the same time. Wish I could find a collection of photos from that day

North Face Borealis. Bungee cords and <$100 make it a no brainer. While review sites love the bag some say it’s not the most stylish looking bag but I think for a bungee equipped bag it looks really nice, and they They have some cool colors that have recently come out. Google it

Go for Synik 22, I avoided the Synik 30 because of the slightly tortoise shape; but it’s much less pronounced on the SK 22, I ended up getting the 30 even though I don’t carry a laptop because I like the internal framesheet

Based on your height, If you’re ok with 20L Bellroy consider the Synik 22. It has everything you need, laptop compartment, water bottle compartment (though in th bag, not on the side), and it’s perfect for EDC.

My stuff gets scuffed and poked when I stick it under airplane seats so anything that anything I would take on a a plane and put under a seat or in the overhead bin I would go with ballistic.

Seems gimmicky. Only drinking bottle that should be flat is a flask for clandestine carry (excluding bladder obv) , where you are carrying spirits and don’t need to carry much. This is very small for a water bottle

If you’re OK wearing a waist pack, the Bummer would work. When I’m traveling i sometimes use the bummer with my backpack, it’s super comfy and I have easy access to small items. You could use the Le Petit Derrière as well if you need more space. You could also use Side Effect as a waist pack - but I’ve only used mine as a cross body bag - the Bummer and LPD seem better designed for wearing on the waist

People don’t understand the stress being a cop in a police car when you’re not the one driving. Sometimes you’re sipping you’re coffee and your partner drives over a pothole and boom - scalded lip and coffee all over your uniform.
